02 May 17 UTC | Spring, 1: GameMaster: NMR from Egypt. Send the country in CD. |
02 May 17 UTC | Spring, 1: GameMaster: Missing orders for Spring, 1 (Diplomacy) from a country with 2 or more SCs. Extending phase. The game will continue after this phase even if you do not find a replacement. |
02 May 17 UTC | Spring, 1: GameMaster: jbeutel has taken over Egypt replacing "slink1385". Reconsider your alliances. |
10 May 17 UTC | Spring, 7: GameMaster: Egypt voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has. |
14 May 17 UTC | Well played, mouse. You earned that win completely. Sorry folks, I was to slow to turn back towards him and try to stop the solo. CoX, what the hell were you attacking me for at the end? You took my SC just when I could have used the build. |
14 May 17 UTC | mouse's victory was inevitable. |
14 May 17 UTC | gg, pretty interesting one. Ultimately I think Persia got quagmired by me, and that left us both weak against Rome |
14 May 17 UTC | gg all. Nice to see everyone surviving, too :) |
15 May 17 UTC | Gg mouse - and indeed I found myself in a tough position where I couldn't fully focus on the Roman threat. (or eventually didn't have enough units to oppose the Roman forces). |
15 May 17 UTC | Thats the frustrating beauty of gunboat, as we both wanted to stop and focus on the romans |
15 May 17 UTC | I think Egypt and I did pretty well at disengaging, but it was probably too little too late anyhow. I only wish Greece hadn't taken Cyrene in Autumn of 8, then I could have retreated to Sahara and built in Cirta. It might have made the difference. |
15 May 17 UTC | Nah, dislodging Mau would've meant you didn't bounce Car (leaving Sag H, BerS S Car, PunS S Thap to give centres same as they currently are), while Mau was cutting both turns, so attempting to cut it would have done nothing. That's even disregarding the fact it's 18 to win and I hit 19. |
15 May 17 UTC | I also wanted to survive imstead of be eliminated. |
15 May 17 UTC | Die or survive... What's the difference? It's WTA man. |
15 May 17 UTC | Yeah, but if Egypt had killed Greece I would have had to figure out how to kill Egypt without actually winning before doing so, and no-one has time for that :p |
15 May 17 UTC | Profile stats and ego. Lol |
16 May 17 UTC | Death before dishonor. A survive is dishonorable, especially when you stab the guy trying to stop the solo to get it. A defeat is simply a death and an honorable one when you are willing to accept it in order to stop the solo. You are dishonorable. :-) |
16 May 17 UTC | Win > Survive > Draw > Defeat |
16 May 17 UTC | If you think a survive is better than a draw, then I won't be playing with you ever again. |
16 May 17 UTC | Eh, I'm just soured on the number of draws voted out of laziness rather than there being an ironclad stalemate line set up. Give me enough games that are draws because they're /actually/ draws and it might edge out. |
