01 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1901: (Dr. Recommended ): Welcome all, thanks for playing. These games have been a lot of fun, especially the Fog tournament. I'm looking forward to more! A couple of notes:

Please review the forum thread for scoring, etc., and I appreciate help in updating as games finish. Everyone should feel free to do so - I'm only trying to facilitate tournaments like these, I have no ownership over them.

Please remember to wait until nations have been shuffled in each game before entering orders. Captainmeme or myself will make an announcement in Global chat when we're ready to go.

As mentioned in the forum, games will start at approximately 2-week intervals after the first two are underway. I'm asking everyone to join all 7 games, to make it more convenient for Captainmeme to shuffle us into appropriate nation slots.

Extensions are fine if needed, though please request only when absolutely necessary. These tournaments have a way of dragging on so long they risk never being finished, so it's important to keep them moving. To help this, please ready your orders as soon as possible, and leave them saved only when you really need the time (travelling, etc.). NMRs are truly bad form, and will be met with boos, hisses, and general derision.

Have fun!

19 Jun 17 UTC Great job painting it yellow, BobRoss! Sam, your stab was perfectly understandable but timed just right for Turkey. Fun start all, looking forward to the other games. Hopefully they'll get going soon.
19 Jun 17 UTC I am very happily surprised to see that I was able to get to the necessary 18. After my missed opportunity to roll into St.Petersburg last year I was afraid of getting stuck in a 3-way draw. As both Italy and England were defeated in the same year and France knew he'd surpassed Germany in number of SC's - it was inevitable that an immediate German-French alliance was in the making.

Thank you guys so much for this game already. I have never spent so much time reconsidering every move i was going to make. Quite nervewrecking, but most certainly the most enjoyable gunboat i've participated in so far. Looking forward to the rest of the tournament ;-)
19 Jun 17 UTC nicely executed one-man juggernaut. Congrats!
19 Jun 17 UTC Once I saw a yellow unit in PIE, I started backing off of Germany. Too little too late. I had no idea that you were pushing before that. I was in my own little world, thinking I was having good luck against England and Germany... Congrats on a good win!
19 Jun 17 UTC Russia screwed me up from year 1, so this was not a fun game for me! Well done BobRoss... a very quick win.
19 Jun 17 UTC England, I screwed you from 1 gain in one year. You then pursued me and even took StP when I no longer stopped you from Norway. That weakened me so that I couldn't hold back Turkey. Between you, Germany, and Turkey, I was forked.
20 Jun 17 UTC Man. I just got gobbled.
20 Jun 17 UTC My apologies Austria, you were most certainly well willing but I decided to go all steamroller.
20 Jun 17 UTC well Scuba, you kinda gave it away with that opening move. I don't think that can ever succeed, at least not in a gunboat...
20 Jun 17 UTC Austria, Italy, we all three got it in the end. But better to be crushed in a gunboat solo than left alive having been unable to see or stop (or both) the solo.
20 Jun 17 UTC Yeah, I don't mind at all. I love playing crazy moves myself. Especially as Austria.
20 Jun 17 UTC YCHTT, you love to make jabs at people... Haha But really, how was I supposed to see anything about Turkey before he showed up in PIE? As far as I knew there was a friendly Italy holding the south. Actually, Italy's attempt to take SPA in his panic to survive tipped me off to start moving south. Regular gunboat, ok, you have a point. Fog gunboat? Not the same.
20 Jun 17 UTC All in fun, Samj. All in fun.
20 Jun 17 UTC I think you are right, Italy. Just hate to sit around as Austria in gunboat and wait to be abused.
20 Jun 17 UTC Of course Mr Truth! We've played enough games to know that.. I know better than to take your comments personal
21 Jun 17 UTC Well at least you've got your round of being abused over with, Scuba. Now you have 6 games left in which you can be the abuser ;-)

22 Jun 17 UTC I'll do what I can. I hope the games get going.
