10 May 17 UTC Spring, 901: (Англичанка): Hi
10 May 17 UTC Spring, 901: (slypups): Hi yourself - looking forward to this one if we can pick up another 9 players - plenty of time still. I hope this one goes better than some other gunboats I've been in where there's a clear single threatening country for a solo, yet some of the idiots in the game continue to in-fight and doom everyone. It's not even about getting a "survive" either - in one game, I'm seeing a guy create his own demise in a "defeat" even while ensuring the lead player solos. I can only chalk that up to some weird vengeance thing, but it kind of ruins what could otherwise be a good game where he could have been in an end-draw.
10 May 17 UTC Spring, 901: (slypups): Sorry - venting. Of course, if I'm the big solo threat, please proceed with your silly infighting to help me.
10 May 17 UTC Spring, 901: (YouCan'tHandleTheTruth): Well, there are times when it becomes obvious to the little guy that #2 has a brain made of #2 because he keeps attacking you so you ronly choice is to be eliminated and removed from the draw or be eliminated and let the big guy solo. Then you simply say "Fark 'em all and let God sort 'em out!"
10 May 17 UTC Spring, 901: (slypups): Completely agree with that - I'm talking a situation where I had really given another player a beating earlier in the game knocking him down to just 3 SCs, but another player had emerged as a clear solo threat with 50% more SCs than anyone else. For 4 consecutive diplomacy phases I tried to help the little guy or completely ignored him while attacking #1 on the map, and little guy just kept hitting me and cutting my support moves until #1 overwhelmed him since I was not able to provide defensive cover to protect both of us with little guy's constant cuts of my units. Little guy was poop for brains as far as I'm concerned.

21 May 17 UTC Autumn, 902: GameMaster: Missing orders for Autumn, 902 (Diplomacy) from a country with 2 or more SCs. Extending phase. The phase will extend 1 time again if you do not find a replacement.
21 May 17 UTC Autumn, 902: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Axum replacing "Dr. Helmut Kohl". Reconsider your alliances.
22 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 912: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Egypt replacing "Англичанка". Reconsider your alliances.
28 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 913: GameMaster: Wagadu voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
29 Aug 17 UTC [Turan]:Good game guys!
29 Aug 17 UTC [France]:Good game, I hope I didn't annoy you all too much delaying the draw. Maybe you think I was ruthless in eliminating the smaller powers, if Egypt had been the original player I would have included him, Byzantium I decided to eliminate because he didn't concentrate on holding the line against Turan, but sent units back in a half hearted attempt to protect himself against me. This meant he lost ground to Turan, but he wasn't guarding himself against me. Should I have convoyed armies into northern Russia before the door closed? Yes in hindsight. I was worried these armies would be hunted down before I was applying pressure on the main frontier, and would have delayed the said pressure being applied on the main frontier. But probably a mistake.
29 Aug 17 UTC [India]:Great game guys, special thank you to Turan for the excellent alliance.

If i had been able to choose again, i would've probably tried to barge through Wagadu when I got Srivaija covered. Yet, at the moment i had finally finished China and Srivaija, it wasn't Wagadu who was the biggest threat, but rather France.

I simply was stuck behind 2 empires that i shouldn't attack as they had to stop France from solo'ing. Boring endgame for me, but exciting game in general ;-)
29 Aug 17 UTC [India]:And France, I think you made the right call by playing on. My initial idea was also to go for a 4-way draw but there was no way i could communicate that to anyone else. I was afraid that if i would not vote for Draw, Turan might fear that i was going to eat him. (he actually thought so several times considering his defensive moves).
29 Aug 17 UTC [Wagadu]:Gg. No need to apologize on going for a solo. Tough map to do it on and you had a chance for a bit.
29 Aug 17 UTC [Byzantinum]:Well, first I tried working with Turan to hold back a threat of a French solo, but he was having none of it. So then I decided to help France with the solo, but as a reward, he eliminated me - gee thanks. What killed me was my Egyptian ally (the original one) making some mistakes and then going into civil disorder such that I had to reinforce the Mediterranean and I was too thinned out to protect all sides. I hate playing a central power in this variant - it's extremely difficult.
29 Aug 17 UTC [Wagadu]:You did a pretty good job of holding me back in the eastern med. I thought I was going to roll through you once we started fighting.
29 Aug 17 UTC [Wagadu]:You did a pretty good job of holding me back in the eastern med. I thought I was going to roll through you once we started fighting.
29 Aug 17 UTC [Byzantinum]:I spotted the good stalemate lines in the Med. I was hoping to join either Wagadu or Turan fighting the other one, but neither of you seemed interested in brawling.
29 Aug 17 UTC [Egypt]:No love for the guy taking over a dying power? Gee whiz! Y'all are cutthroat. Everyone not voting draw until I was dead are uninvited to the ice cream social.
