19 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 480 BC.: (Mikey99): The last effort under this map and name almost started... just one player short. Hopefully this time...
25 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 480 BC.: (BobRoss): looking forward to this game!
26 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 480 BC.: (CCR): This looks a way better map than Greek Diplomacy /variants.php?variantID=35
I felt how completely stalemated that one is gameID=30882
26 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 480 BC.: Glad we got it started. Good luck all (expect whoever turns out to be a foe ;-).
26 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 480 BC.: Good luck everybody.
01 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 479 BC.: If you want to know more about the corinthians, here are some stats of their victories:

And about ancient history of the conrinthians, check

Where do I post my picture with a corinthian shirt? I am a fan - yes, brazilian from São Paulo.

12 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 477 BC.: "I pray to the gods of Mount Olympus and sacrifice a goat every moon."

I wrote (something like) this to (almost) all players and only one took it as a personal offense (guess who).

Oh man, someone doesn't know what is role playing. Don't we all live in ancient greekland?
13 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 477 BC.: An astrologist claims to have measured the movement of the stars and now he knows our world is round. I would burn him as he is obviously crazy or a laconian lackey of Hades, but I consulted an oracle first, and she assured the prophet is harmless, and only more prayer is needed, from all greek citizens. Two goats were offered this time, then.
16 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 476 BC.: Now that wasn't nice
16 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 476 BC.: Message from an arcolite of a certain goddess, written at the backwings a lacustus:

"Spartans... always unsmiling."
22 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 474 BC.: I have my argulicus supporting you to Mare Med from Marmora; to conquer athenae in the autumn. Thus, your fleet Aega is free to move north to Thermas, it may render you even more profits from boetian spoils.
22 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 474 BC.: Great.
22 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 474 BC.: That's right Attica you move your fleets north, so he can shaft you like he has all his previous allies (which has been everyone else on the board)
22 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 474 BC.: Alliance with Arcolia; 10/10 would recommend.
23 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 474 BC.: I usually leave this for end of game statements, but here i won't let it pass.
--> Laconia betrayed me (if not willingly, then with moves completely agasint an alliance between us) and then i had to attack it.
--> Aetolia made personal offense to me and then i had to stop favouring him.
Boetia is the only one who could say anything about betrayal. But I play a central power and there is no way I play allied with everyone. It is a game about war and deceive. At that moment, Or I attacked Attica, Or I attacked Boetia. Attica offered help against Laconia. Boetia never showed to be willing to move againt Aetolia. Then I had to make a choice.
23 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 474 BC.: Hmmm... ok Arcolia, you want this in global?

You promised and offered support against Elia, telling me we were natural allies blah blah blah, then straight out betrayed me and supported Elia. Obviously a ruse to get Elia and I fighting each other. Absolutely the same ruse with Attica/Laconia. Laconia's 'betrayal' was basically not to make the moves that Arcolia ordered him to. Arcolia also did his best to get Boetia to betray me, so that he, Arcolia could pile into Boetia from behind. At least that time, his standard ruse didn't work. Yes, Arcolia bangs on about being a central power and all that, but not a single ally of his has prospered. Attica now is cowed, but also offered a bone (Athenae) - his to start with, but it was Arcolia's early alliance with Boetia that caused Attica to lose it in the first place. I must say, hats off to Arcolia. He plays divide and conquer very well, but trust him? Not even with a sack of dead rats.
23 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 474 BC.: Guys, I must say this game and also maybe the personal chemistry between the players do not seem to stimulate the good sides of mankind. Let us keep our exchanges (if any) to sorting out the game rather than to writing history books.
11 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 471 BC.: GameMaster: Arcolia voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
11 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 471 BC.: GameMaster: Arcolia voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat.
25 Aug 17 UTC Well played Messenia
