17 Sep 17 UTC Good game ubercacher16
CoXBoT - I have to question that early strategy of leaving the biggest player on the board (Danes) alone so that he could send nearly all his forces at me and leave behind a skeleton defense in case you changed your mind. That came back to bite you in the end, and the rest of us. Since the Swedes were unwilling to lie down and die for me (understandably - a nice resistance there Korwenten), there was no way I could manage that two front war. I felt like the game pretty much went to the Danes right there.
17 Sep 17 UTC GG everyone, thanks to CoXBoT for being a good ally throughout and to slypups for the cooperation against Korwenten, I tried to keep you two alive instead of just grabbing more centers for myself.
17 Sep 17 UTC Ha - didn't really feel like that.
17 Sep 17 UTC You did not die, mission accomplished.
17 Sep 17 UTC Only because you won first ;)
17 Sep 17 UTC At no point did you "let up" on me
17 Sep 17 UTC The point is you didn't die.
17 Sep 17 UTC Sure, but the "I tried to keep you two alive" line rings a bit false there. At no point did you actually try to keep me alive - just the opposite.
17 Sep 17 UTC I have to think Gunboat got us islanders to some extent. I would have loved to have cut a deal with the Bretons (maybe even the Gaels?) to coordinate against the Danes much earlier but sadly couldn't signal those intentions with my moves. Then, with that failing, the Anglo-Saxons and I couldn't get a lucky break trying to guess who was going to poke Breton support in Mercia either. So the Bretons and Gaels also get a hat tip for a very tenacious and effective defense. Excellent game played by all.
