08 Nov 17 UTC	Autumn, 1860: Oregon in general is crawling with them, but Bend in particular enjoys over two dozen small craft breweries that are constantly competing and collaborating with each other. There is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to excellent beer. It’s one of the perks of being a musician here, lots of good free beer :)

09 Nov 17 UTC	Autumn, 1861: Hahaha, you provide excellent entertainment doc. That was a shortlived moment for me in DC, though I still got a little prize with the annexation of Ohio. Also, perhaps you should become a novelist. You've turned something like a "I'm Dutch, nothing special." into 'Dutch heritage living in the US' haha. Then again, I wouldn't exclude the possibility of moving to the US for a while from my timeline. Though for the time being i'm going to be stuck in the Netherlands. Yet, as i've described before, i don't feel too strongly connected to my (Dutch) heritage, which I think is quite common amongst the Dutch people.
09 Nov 17 UTC	Spring, 1862: Ha - I'm leaving in an hour for my writing class ;) I have a Dutch friend, nothing special, though he was born and raised in the US. He goes back with his father to visit family, keep in touch with that heritage, and ride bikes or something. I might have thought you lived in the US because of the way you use your English, it's very familiar to me, reminding me of several American friends I've known. I still chuckle when I think of "butthurt over ma banter."

And I will consider it a compliment that i'm reminding you of some of your American friends. Perhaps it was well worth it that I dated that Kentucky girl for a while, as that definitely drew me more to the American way of conversing. And well.. Tassa.. what can I say haha.
