15 May 18 UTC I probably could have fought on for the solo, but with everyone going against me, my odds were not strong, and I risked the tables turning and France getting into solo position if he guessed well. So I figured it best to just quit while I was ahead.

Nice job Turkey guessing right for several turns - that really retarded my progress and destroyed my chances.

Italy made a very curious lunge at me that also ruined my hopes to solo. While it was very effective in taking out my solo shot, it also was suicidal when France plowed him other. I had never attacked him the whole game, even after he attacked me I offered him peace. I thought he might be more interested in getting a survive over a defeat, but apparently he was more interested in getting everyone else a draw than surviving himself - indeed that seemed a curious play to me, and a plan I would not have followed in his place.
15 May 18 UTC Well done France (tantrumizer) - excellent play on your part. You continue to impress in games we've played together.

Also thought Germany played a strong game and he probably found himself frustrated by England hitting him repeatedly when I was clearly the bigger threat. Given England's obstinance that way, I probably should have attacked Germany and left England alone a bit longer - that could have played better for me.
15 May 18 UTC Glad we could force the draw. Good game!
15 May 18 UTC I felt very vulnerable for most of the game, as I had a very difficult time with Italy. If Germany had decided to attack me at any point, I would have been a goner. I also spooked England at one point with a terrible mis-order to NAO instead of Portugal. I guess Italy was hoping for a 5-way draw, but I think that is too many for a 7-player game. :-)
15 May 18 UTC If it was hidden draw votes, I would probably have kept the game going and tried to sneak a solo myself, but happy with the draw in the end, as I was a little vulnerable by land in the middle there. Well done to slypups for making the running...
15 May 18 UTC Italy had no shot at a draw there when he turned on me. It was either defeat or survival for him at that point, with a dark horse chance at a draw if he stuck around long enough. But he ruined that chance for himself when he attacked me and let you (France) demolish him. I would have left him alive as an ally/vassal.
15 May 18 UTC I thought it was interesting when I chose to go for NAO instead of sitting in Egypt to finish Turkey faster. I still think that was the right move to get a fleet onto the north side, as I thought that would be critical for any solo shot.
15 May 18 UTC Thanks for the EoGs guys. Too busy for one myself. Fun game, enjoying the variant. Someone set up another!
15 May 18 UTC I am happy with the draw. The win wasnt possible for Austria when we others still play together.

And its true i was attacking too long Germany but i thought: perhaps its something more possible for me. Thanks Germany that you dont take revenge in the end game. And thanks to France. You helped me a lot by showing not to be aggressive.

And sorry for my small errors. I thought Austria will take Egypt and is not moving to NAO. After that it was difficult with two fleets in "our" area.

It was a fun game
