23 Apr 18 UTC Spring, 1740: GameMaster: Please remember that negotiations before the game begins are not allowed.
23 Apr 18 UTC Spring, 1740: (vixol): hi
23 Apr 18 UTC Spring, 1740: Info: This is a choose your country game.
06 May 18 UTC Autumn, 1743: Hey Europe,

I hate to do this but can I request and extend on this phase? Things have come up at home and I really need to not be thinking about this game for a few days if at all possible.

You may not like Russia, but hopefully you can have mercy on the random Australian driving them :)
06 May 18 UTC Autumn, 1743: GameMaster: Russia voted for a Extend. If 2/3 of the active players vote Extend the the current phase will be extend by 4 days. Please consider backing this. If the majority is not reached by "Autumn, 1744" the votes will be cleared.
07 May 18 UTC Autumn, 1743: GameMaster: Per 2/3 majority vote the gamephase got extended by 4 days.
(Voters: Russia / Bavaria / Prussia / Spain / Ottoman Empire / Austria)
25 May 18 UTC Spring, 1746: The Czar of all the Russias notes its confusion that this conflict over the Austrian crown is still going despite the fact that the Austrian capital has been occupied and the "Austrian" army is now made up entirely of Italians.

The Czar is similarly confused as to how this cause for war has made him ruler of Scotland or the Spanish rulers of Ireland but these developments are welcome none the less.
25 May 18 UTC Spring, 1746: Im willing to cenced to Russia
25 May 18 UTC Spring, 1746: GameMaster: Bavaria voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat.
04 Jun 18 UTC GameMaster: F-Breeze has taken over Ottoman Empire replacing "Sully711". Reconsider your alliances.
05 Jun 18 UTC any in fabour of a draw at this point.

i consider all those remaining to be allies but wanted to end this game quickly for personal reasons.

i had thought 22 was the magic number and apologise for that.

are we three willing to accept peace and an end to this war?
05 Jun 18 UTC GameMaster: Prussia voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
05 Jun 18 UTC <Spams button. Weeps over Vienna.>
05 Jun 18 UTC If Russia doesnt try for solo then this game is a set up.
05 Jun 18 UTC Nah. Good allies draw games. No points at stake really. Also, bye Bavaria! :P
05 Jun 18 UTC Bye! Please note though that code of conduct is that you always play to maximize your own position.
05 Jun 18 UTC Duly noted. My position is nicely maximized (thank you! <3). If Russia is offering an early wrap up next phase, I'm still taking it. :p
05 Jun 18 UTC let's step back a moment

we're in a zero stakes game testing a map. I came into this having never met spain before and my other experience with Prussia guy has him on some other continent and not as an ally.

i offered deals to each of my neighbours. austria refused, ottoman betrayed it, then so eventually did you.

i allied spain to help close the game out saying id offer a draw once it was just us left.

as I see it, I can either betray my word to people who have put up with shit from me these last few weeks or I can stick to it.

add to that, I'm relocating irl, have no internet other than 3g and am mentally ready to wind this game down means I think my allies deserve a draw.

I don't see a CoC violation here, but please explain if you think it is otherwise.
05 Jun 18 UTC stressing here though. I lack confidence in my ability to fight a coalition reliably to a win is my primary driver, coupled with a commitment to playing these games without going back on my word.
05 Jun 18 UTC Sorry, it's just me then. I thought the goal of playing was to win. If you play with a locked alliance then it's of course always possible to draw which makes the game pointless. Russia is on 23, 26 is needed for solo.

Easy to take from Prussia: East, Mun.
Easy to take from Spain: Papal (cut Tys, support Ven-Pap)

That's 26 without even having to advance much. To not TRY would be to not wanting to win.

If that's your style, well then I will write your username down and try to never play with you again. I have been playing Diplomacy for 25 years and the rule of thumb "always try to win, if that is not possible try to reduce the draw" has been valid all these years in the player communities I have been part of.

Thank you for readig. I will leave this discussion now! Have a great summer all of you!
