Spring, 1939: (TheWorldCouldBeSoDifferent): I assume from the forum post it's open to everyone right? I'm perfectly happy with the rules. |

Spring, 1939: (TheWorldCouldBeSoDifferent): I think I've done something very similar before, but I did it on the WWII variant, it should be a lot of fun. I love the fact there's no risk of backstabbing and no manipulation of press, just pure tactics and communication of one team vs tactics and communication of the other team. |

Spring, 1939: (CenturyDragonForge): I hope this game is going to be fun. I also play alot of Axis and Allies and this is like the two meshed together |

Autumn, 1941: Fat lady is about to sing... You know, the old saying, it's not over til the fat lady sings... I think its a reference to many operas... |

Autumn, 1941: My position is quite precarious at the moment. Not done yet... But its not looking good. |

Autumn, 1941: I gotta say, it does seem like the allies have some sort of natural advantage here. Maybe because the axis tend to already be natural allies in most game where everyone is evenly balanced, so when the allies also ally (but unnaturally), it becomes OP? |

Autumn, 1941: It definitely frees Britain from the danger of Russians to my East and the French from possible British Invasion to my west. Allows them to focus toward me. Even attempted subterfuge one my part early does not help. Eventually Italy gets squeezed with no real chance to go on the offensive in any direction. |

Autumn, 1941: I mean, in WW2, Germany did pretty well and got a lot of stuff to face the Soviets, this universe, Mr Moustache apparently decided there is no such thing as "too early" to attack the Soviets. |

Autumn, 1941: This is something I wanted to try. It's not as successful as I hoped but that's OK. Sometimes you have to try new things. The problem is obvious in hindsight. Once one team gains the upper hand then they will continue to build on that advantage and it has a snowball effect. The only way the axis can win now is if the allies make a mistake or there is some lapse in their communication. So far they haven't made any mistakes but I remain hopeful. I will continue fighting to the end. I was going for historical accuracy over fairness. |

Autumn, 1941: In WW2 the germans launched a surprise invasion of the USSR and a blitzkrieg lightning attack on the french. The japanese did quick strikes against european colonies in east Asia while they were not fully prepared. The allies were fighting on the defensive. It would be interesting if you did this where the allied team were only allowed to hold all of their units in the first phase (spring 1939) so the axis team effectively gets one free movement phase as a head start. |

Autumn, 1941: But that is a conversation for another time. |

Autumn, 1941: It would certainly be interesting |

Autumn, 1941: Or how about this: The Soviets and Germany are not allowed to attack each other until 1941 (Maybe they can attack Japan though). Not sure if that may work, but who knows |
