Autumn, 1454: finalize? |
12 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1455: Napoli's out - I'm voting cancel/draw. Alliance for the draw is in the offing, everyone. |
13 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1455: yep, just draw it, one country gone early and a major player CD, draw it and start another one |
13 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1455: fisrt link to another one? |

Autumn, 1455: Restart: gameID=6042 |

Autumn, 1455: Not 100% sure why we're drawing, but I voted for it since everyone else seems to be doing so. |

Autumn, 1455: because a major state quit very early in the game |
13 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1455: I agree that it stink that someone left early in the game, but who's to say it's not going to happen next time as well? Would we draw if Ferrara or the French vacated? And yes, Napoli is usually a larger player in the game than those nations, but wouldn't anyone looking to take advantage of the vacancy leave themselves exposed to attack from behind. The absence only really truly helps Turkey. I'm have no doubt that I'm the only one who feels this way, and I conede that we're going to draw and restart the game. I don't know what else to say, except that I think too many Diplomacy games are drawn too early. |

Autumn, 1455: I agree with Venice and it applies especially to Rinascimento... except nobody ever seems to want to draw early when I'm losing. |
13 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1455: well, obviously I will keep playing if there is not a draw ... people just need to decide one way or another |
18 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1456: I am having some problems with internet. Please, can we stop the game? |
18 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1456: Turk, you may have some trouble convincing others to vote for a pause when you yourself haven't voted draw/cancel |
18 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1456: I voted pause, and that what I want to pause it for a week more or less |
19 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1456: I don't want to finish the game with a draw so early, I only want to pause it |
19 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1456: Yeah, but what incentive do the others have to vote draw? Your nearest neighbour has disappeared and there's nothing stopping you from eating him up and potentially dominating the game, a draw would be best. TLDR: you're acting in your own interest against the spirit of the game but expect others to not do the very same thing when you need a pause |
19 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1456: **to vote pause |
19 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1456: sorry I didn't know that my neighbour has disappeared. Now that i know, yes, i think a draw is better |
20 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1456: No worries. France, Ferrara and Venizia, are you going to vote draw? |
20 Feb 12 UTC |
Autumn, 1456: I've already spoken about this, but I'll state again that I don't agree with the idea of drawing because Napoli left. I know this may make me look like a jerk, but I have to be honest. |
