02 Nov 23 UTC | Ggs. Sorry Orange, thought you were going to try and snag some of my centers for a solo so I wanted to make the jump first. |
02 Nov 23 UTC | GG, Yeah Dale_Fuego you got me so scared with that, I had even a few years earlier talked to a friend to ask if they thought I should go for it since I wasn't sure if it was feasible or not and they suggested not, so had been planning a three way draw for a bit. Got even more scared when Antiloquax moved towards Languedoc and Dijon and thought I really was done for. But yeah, good game you two, was good to get to the end with you. (Also sorry for the very start Antiloquax I had wanted to try and go after you but then it kinda just didn't pan out much and I was just in a weird stuck place until I was able to turn things around) |
02 Nov 23 UTC | I'm glad we worked things out. There was a rough patch for me. First with Sicily and then with Burgundy until Poland came in from the east. But without a safe border with Sicily I wouldn't have been able to focus on managing the Atlantic side. The only reason I moved toward Languedoc and Dijon is it looked like Orange was getting close to a solo win. I just wanted to make sure that we ended up at a draw. |
02 Nov 23 UTC | Dale's stab already ensured I wouldn't be getting a solo |
02 Nov 23 UTC | GG wp all. Only mildly salty to be eliminated after reaching top of the board. You three did a great job cooperating to knock me out, especially for a gunboat game. At the end I thought I might give Sicilians a chance a solo by disbanding on their front - the idea being that Byz/Spain would be forced to stab to prevent a solo and I might hang on in the Baltic. Unfortunately that didn't come to fruition. Byz, did you ever notice my support move for Taurida S Eastern Black Sea -> Crimea? You would've needed to check big map because failed support moves don't show on the standard map. I'm wondering if it was a tactic to leave Hungary alive on the Crimean peninsula to force me to a commit a unit to defending Tau - if so it was effective. I was really hoping that would secure our friendship past 1908 but alas. |
02 Nov 23 UTC | I think I spent 11 turns trying to convince you to take Crimea lol |
