03 Sep 23 UTC GameMaster: France voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Concede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat.
03 Sep 23 UTC Well played. I was struggling to stay afloat there for a few turns.
04 Sep 23 UTC GG wp, I thought you had me when you took Ber and Mun
04 Sep 23 UTC Was surprised you didn't retreat to ION when you had the chance, could've matched my raider. Once I had MAO and there wasn't a unit behind my front, I felt pretty confident.
04 Sep 23 UTC I had a 1 dot lead in 03, but you turned it around to 13-10 in 04. I considered calling it there but figured I had to grind it out. That and I knew I could retake Nap, had the army front line saturated, and you couldn't build in Mar.
04 Sep 23 UTC Yeah, at 13-10 I probably should have adjusted my strategy and forced you to take the risks. Even if I did, I'm not sure what the outcome would have been. Hindsight is always 20/20, once you know your opponent's moves. ;-) Gg.
05 Sep 23 UTC Why'd you move off Ber in F03, expecting a bounce in Pru? Could've had a unit in Munich. And then why not retreat to Lvn?
05 Sep 23 UTC I think S03 you just move Kie -> Ber and Mun -> Tyr/Boh. You had the edge since you were in possession of Munich, could just bounce as many moves of mine as possible and then I have the issue with clogged home SCs and difficulty building.
05 Sep 23 UTC Yeah, in F03 I thought you might move Sil-->Pru, Gal-->Sil, and then I'd have a guess in S04 to hold the line. When you didn't move to Pru, I felt it best to get back to Berlin. That all seems right to me, even in retrospect. I guessed wrong on Pru, that's all.

I think my mistake was in S05. At that point I had Mun and Ber and I could have held them indefinitely. And I was ahead 13-10. I probably should have just held them, instead of taking another risk to try to kick you out of GoL (using Burgundy to cover Mar). I was trying to open up Mar for a fleet build. The move to GoL didn't work anyway, as it turned out.
05 Sep 23 UTC Although, maybe you take Mar there if Bur goes to Mun.
05 Sep 23 UTC Definitely agree on the S05 point, perhaps could've waited for Par -> Gas to open up Mar for a build. But then I had the fleet in WMS so getting out of Mar wasn't a sure thing regardless.
