20 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1: How many players do we need for it to start?
20 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1: And Rome don't forget to put in orders.
20 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1: Explanation on how to play Diplo: Basically you want to control supply centers, which are provinces with the circles in them. For every supply center you control, you are allowed one more army/fleet. Army and fleets are built/destroyed during the build phase, which takes place after two attack phases. An attack phase is basically a movement phase, you can command one of your units to move, hold or support during these. You can move to adjacent tiles, land or sea, depending on a fleet or army. If you want an army to move across a body of water, you must have a fleet there, then command the army to move to where you want it to go via convoy, and command the fleet to convoy the army there. If you want to take a territory held by an opponent you must support move your unit into it. So you must have a unit adjacent to the territory you are trying to take support another unit that is adjacent to the territory and command it to support the other unit in. Adversely, if you are being attacked, you can have units adjecent support hold your territory. The side which has more supports will be the one who's order happens. So if three people support a unit into a territory against two people supporting the opponent unit to stay in the territory, those supporting in will succeed.

Those are the basics.

20 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1: Also, keep in mind that you can talk to individual countries by clicking their name above. You won't succeed without making allegiances, and the global messageboard isn't usually the place for that.
21 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1: And ready your orders when they are finished, that will move the game into the next phase.

21 Dec 12 UTC Autumn, 1: ONE LAST THING, you only gain supply points that you have units in before the build phase. So if you move into them the first attack phase, then move to another, you don't get them.
21 Dec 12 UTC Autumn, 1: GameMaster: Rome voted for a Extend. If 2/3 of the active players vote Extend the the current phase will be extend by 4 days. Please consider backing this. If the majority is not reached by "Autumn, 2" the votes will be cleared.
21 Dec 12 UTC Autumn, 1: ignore the extend. Rome did it by accident.
