27 Aug 14 UTC Bidding: So, what exactly do we do?
27 Aug 14 UTC Bidding: See the rules, dude :-)
Okay, for easy reference, I quote:
"Diplomacy Bidding Start:
Each nation starts with their capital city and four tokens to bid for other home centers with. All of the players reveal their bids at once for the biding phase. If a player is the only player to have bid on a supply center then that supply center becomes a home center of that player. If two players bid on the same supply center the player who bid the most on the supply center gets it as their home center. If they bid the same amount on the supply center then the supply center remains neutral. After bidding there is no build phase. All Supply Centers that become a nation's Home Centers will have either a navy or army in the territory."
Whether it's a navy or an army can be seen in a table:

27 Aug 14 UTC Bidding: And, of course, you can discuss what to bid on.
27 Aug 14 UTC Bidding: Let me also note for new players that there's no point in saving any of the coins. You lose them after the bid phase, and it's not like they take your VDIp points, so USE ALL OF THEM! That's not always clear to people in the first round they play...
27 Aug 14 UTC Bidding: Indeed. So why the programmer of this game decided to give you the option to "Keep" your coins, is a mystery...
27 Aug 14 UTC Bidding: Yeah, that I have NO idea how to answer........!
30 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: .......
30 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: mha!!
30 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: Yes? Do you mean that you are very happy with your 3 home SCs, while most of the others have 4 or 5?
30 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: I mean that I have no idea what goes through the head of some players
30 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: If I bid on 4. they might get taken
09 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1549 BC.: Can we extend? I have someone in the hospital and have been visiting. Sorry, I want to actually be able to do diplomacy this turn and not just rush through the orders...
09 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1549 BC.: GameMaster: Rhodes voted for a Extend. If 2/3 of the active players vote Extend the the current phase will be extend by 4 days. Please consider backing this. If the majority is not reached by "Spring, 1548 BC." the votes will be cleared.
09 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1549 BC.: GameMaster: Per 2/3 majority vote the gamephase got extended by 4 days.
(Voters: Sparta / Rhodes / Macedonia / Persia)
13 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1549 BC.: Thanks for the extend, all
12 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 1545 BC.: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Byzantinum replacing "nirja". Reconsider your alliances.
12 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 1545 BC.: GameMaster: Byzantinum voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat.
18 Oct 14 UTC GameMaster: Byzantinum voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
18 Oct 14 UTC Thanks for playing!! It was great to try out this scenario, with bidding on supply centers and all.
