16 Feb 17 UTC | Best game of the series so far, boys. I'm not surprised to find Bozo as Oda. I hope that I gave you a mild heart attack with my convoy to Tango there. Sammy, way to find yourself a place to hide on the map. There are a few of them, and all kudos to you for staying alive. Thanks to Doctor and YCHTT for putting up a good resistance against a solo. Our coordination was terrible as you might expect in gunboat, but persistence and an absence of greed won the day. |
16 Feb 17 UTC | Way to go Ruff. Take note, all. That is how to encourage your neighbor to not suicide against the enemy. :-). But seriously, this was a huge challenge and I thoroughly enjoyed the game. |
16 Feb 17 UTC | This was another one where I was placed right next to aggressive Samj. The lack of randomness of neighbors really hurt me as I had a super aggressive neighbor in all four of the initial games. |
16 Feb 17 UTC | Mapu, I'm mellowing as each game goes on... I think that is the only way I survived this one. I became that linchpin that kept the balance of power between two big boys. Not what I intended, but I'll take it. I'm learning more each game with no press. I started out gung-ho early this series... But that is not the only way I play. Congrats to all who survived. Has Bozo been tops in all of them so far? If not, he is close to it! I knew I was in over my head when I joined this tourney. |
16 Feb 17 UTC | I did not anticipate the convoy to Tango, if I had I would have used Omi to support Tango and risked losing Echizen (7). I had my draw vote up before I took Tosa, so someone else was holding out for a better result, perhaps Uesugi. After I took Tosa, I took down my draw vote to see how long I could hold off Uesugi. When I voted draw after the last turn, I was somewhat surprised to see everyone else had already voted for the draw. |
