12 Feb 17 UTC Spring, 1570: Captainmeme (Moderator): This one is ready to go! Apologies for the delay.
25 Mar 17 UTC Gratz all! I decided to draw as I saw no way to get deeper into Oda enough to get 11 more SCs and it would be unfair to draw it out on the off chance of a random coin toss going my way. Well played all of you!
25 Mar 17 UTC I could have finalized the stalemate with Sanuki to Inland, Iyo to Sanuki, and a bunch of support holds. Iyo would have continued to bounce in Anuki if need be but everywhere else had enough uncuttable supports to hold it and Sanuki could not be supported against. So don't think I was in trouble at all. But I had no solid defensive way to gain ground without risk of losing it as well.
25 Mar 17 UTC Wild ride of a game. First of all many thanks to Bozo in Hojo for recognizing the potential threats from both Oda and Shimazu, and adjusting to cover me where and when you could. Thanks also to Sammy for recognizing that your chance to win was fading, and if you didn't wheel and face Shimazu, that all was lost. I did my best to send signals through movements and supports to show my willingness to align with you. I could see things beginning to shift while you were still attacking me, but hoped that you'd come around. In Spring 1579 I gambled that Hojo would not stab me, and sent my fleet to Sea of Japan as signal that I saw the emerging threat of Smimazu taking the solo. Takeda was really in a bad spot at this point, although it was difficult for me to have much sympathy for him. He jumped on me from the first year, and never once looked to address the dangers of Oda's early run. I knew that Hojo needed some reinforcing and that he could see the dangers from the other side of the map. I never got a signal from Takeda for anything other than war, and as Uesugi it's also tricky with Takeda. I'm not sure who was taunting Trip in the forum about his final disband, but it wasn't me. Good stuff from YCHTT with an impressive play with Shimazu.
25 Mar 17 UTC I taunted trip and apologized in the forum, but will do so again here.

Sorry I was such an ass, trip.
26 Mar 17 UTC No worries, YCHTT. Good game guys.
26 Mar 17 UTC I rolled the dice on the Osaka Bay thing that last round... I had to make something change to get Shimazu to see there would not be a solo. Thanks to everyone to my east. I still wasn't sure about Bozo, as you can see I covered just in case. For awhile, I thought I was getting mixed signals from RUFF, but it worked out. I had to trust him or lose. I was sooo hoping y'all wouldn't press me from behind, I would havevswiveledvthat way and let Truth have it.
26 Mar 17 UTC Havevswiveledvthat is a new word I made up, haha. Would have swiveled that way. Gotta love the iPad keyboard.
26 Mar 17 UTC I fullt expected you to take Osaka Bay, but felt Kii Straights was a more strategic spot for me. I was very much hoping to see some fighting on Oda's other border, but it never seemed to pan out and the best I could see coming from it was maybe Hojo being eliminated. I already laid out my plans for handling Osaka Bay and, if I wasnt' to solo, then there was no reason to continue as, even if bozo hadn't been in the draw, his two solos pretty much guaranteed no one but he would win this tournament. So a draw it was. Gratz, bozo. I think this is solidly your tournament.
26 Mar 17 UTC fully, not fullt. I guess I fullt that one up.
27 Mar 17 UTC Good game. Thanks to Uesugi for the game long alliance, first to counter Takeda's aggressive opening, then to hold off Oda.
