10 Jun 19 UTC | Autumn, 1512: GameMaster: Iroquois voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has. |
11 Jun 19 UTC | Thanks for the game everyone. Second time with this variant and I didn’t last long before so quite unfamiliar. About 4 moves in after crossing the rider to take on Ottawa I realised that I couldn’t hold that territory. But I also realised with Ottawa gone Algonquin could never build a fleet to threaten (that’s obviously a feature here but I didn’t realise until well into the game). I then did a compete 180 turn in my strategy and gave up eastern gains to pour south. With a fully safe northern flank it was just about grinding it out. Maybe I found a good strategy for Iroquois by accident - if you can work with Algonquin to eliminate Ottawa it’s a very strong position. Maybe they should have a land bridge in that area of the map, or allow armies to switch to fleets... |
