21 Dec 19 UTC Spring, 1499: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
24 Dec 19 UTC Monsoon, 1499: GameMaster: Tondo voted for a Extend. If 2/3 of the active players vote Extend the the current phase will be extend by 4 days. Please consider backing this. If the majority is not reached by "Monsoon, 1500" the votes will be cleared.
28 Dec 19 UTC Monsoon, 1500: GameMaster: Extend-request didn't reach 2/3 majority. All extend-votes cleared.
30 Dec 19 UTC Monsoon, 1500: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
02 Jan 20 UTC Sorry friends, I couldn't resist.
02 Jan 20 UTC GameMaster: Someone has taken over Malacca replacing "Korwenten". Reconsider your alliances.

03 Jan 20 UTC Honestly Tondo on this I think is really interesting nation to play on this map as if you use skillful diplomacy it is pretty easily to chunk through players and either guarantee a draw or a solo. On the other hand if they screw up the diplomacy they can be easily cornered and split by surrounding powers
03 Jan 20 UTC I've just looked at the stats for this variant and Ternate has more solos than the others put together! Hugely unfair advantage - this variant needs adjusting to make it more even. That takes the shine off my win somewhat!
03 Jan 20 UTC Yeah if you look at the map you can just see how unfair it is as every power but Ternate has a natural rival with Brunei and Tondo competing for the Philippines, Malacca and Majapahit for the SE portion of the map and Dai Vet VS Ayutthaya
03 Jan 20 UTC And Ternate if you think of it is in a position where even if people wanted to gang up on them those non Ternate powers could easily be attacked from the back. Also Ternate is sort of like Turkey in normal Diplomacy being able to fight off of a corner but doesn’t suffer the weakness of a similar counter move like a Lepanto as Ternate also starts with three fleets.
