02 Feb 20 UTC | Spring, 1885: Love this map |
02 Feb 20 UTC | Spring, 1885: Yea it's a good one, probably my favourite actually. Thanks for joining. |
10 Feb 20 UTC | Spring, 1885: One person short, 4 hours left... Cutting it close. |
10 Feb 20 UTC | Spring, 1885: I’ll ask a mod to extend the joining time. |
10 Feb 20 UTC | Spring, 1885: Alright, cheers. |
10 Feb 20 UTC | Spring, 1885: Good luck to you all. |
11 Feb 20 UTC | Autumn, 1885: Well, Italy not entering orders. Now that shakes things up! |
11 Feb 20 UTC | Autumn, 1885: Did they miss it or just enter all holds? |
11 Feb 20 UTC | Autumn, 1885: I have to assume they missed it. Anyone entering all holds in turn 1 here should never have joined the game, as it would be a deliberate attempt to throw the game out of whack. |
11 Feb 20 UTC | Autumn, 1885: Yes I agree, I just don't see a message anywhere saying they missed it. I thought they showed the number of NMRs remaining even on Anon games. |
11 Feb 20 UTC | Autumn, 1885: If I knew that Italy was about to NMR then I would have moved Trieste fleet to Adriatic. The purpose of anonymous games is to hide the identity of the players, so why are you unable to see the grey and green ticks? In the past I have often made strategic decisions based on a pending NMR. |
12 Feb 20 UTC | Autumn, 1885: Sorry, I came down with the flu, and couldn't get out of bed for 2 days. I'm sort of better now, but shaky. Sorry and it won't happen again. |
12 Feb 20 UTC | Autumn, 1885: What will be will be |
12 Feb 20 UTC | Autumn, 1885: Did Germany just enter all holds now? I'm a wee-bit confused! |
12 Feb 20 UTC | Autumn, 1885: Germany here - I couldn't get into the site yesterday to place orders..... |
12 Feb 20 UTC | Autumn, 1885: Well, it certainly makes for an interesting start I guess. |
15 Feb 20 UTC | Spring, 1886: Well it looks like it will be an early exit for me. I'm amazed how I end up being the one ganged up on in almost 100% of my games. It's probably not 100% but definitely well over 90%. It's like everyone has some secret code they communicate with or something that I'm missing out on. This is never a problem for me in public press games where everybody can see all the communication. My success rate in public press games is like 10 times higher. Can anyone point me towards any good advice online or in the forum? It would be much appreciated. |
15 Feb 20 UTC | Spring, 1886: Do people generally form alliances with the first person to reach out to them in communication? Maybe that is part of the problem? Do you need to message people right away? |
15 Feb 20 UTC | Spring, 1886: In this case you are simply the wrong nation, Austria is far too weak to be a good ally (in my opinion anyway) because they are so easy to destroy. As for you, I'd say you had pretty good communication with me, you were just unlucky that Austria is in the wrong place. Public press games, I always fail miserably at those, so you've got one up on me there that's for sure, haha. |
15 Feb 20 UTC | Spring, 1886: Honestly, I don't buy that because I'm had a very good game as Austria on this map before. |
