08 Dec 11 UTC Spring, 1454: (Decima Legio): Hi, I posted a thread in the forum, in the hope we reach 12 players and get the game going
14 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: Whoever ever designed this game screwed up when deciding France's starting position. Savoy alone can restrict me to one unit after the first year.
14 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: I thought that but in fact what you need is a n agreement with Savoia or Milano. Particularly Milano since a strong France is Milano's best bet for taking on Venezia.
14 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: What good will an alliance do me when I have one center than Savoy can take out in a single year?
14 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: Ahh well, you wouldn't start from here. You'd start by (a) agreeing with Savoia to let you have Aosta, (B) agreeing with Milano to let you have Como, then not bothering with Geneve but going after Nizza instead, or (c) persuade Milano to move to Vercelli in turn 1 and support you into Aosta.
14 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: I'd probably go for Nizza and...Como.
In most cases the Genève opening move is a dead end.
14 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: Regardless its better than Sienna's starting position. In my opinion thats the absolute worst. Firenze has even more power over them than Savoia has over France.
14 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: Thanks Venezia, that's very kind of you
14 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: Does Ferrara's position better than Siena's?
14 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: I don't mean that in an offensive way or personal way. Its just the starting positions. I'd prefer to play as France then Siena any day.
15 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: I knew that and I agree with your last statement, Venezia. It was just ironic
17 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: Venice, you're the only one who hasn't readyed.
17 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1454: Oh, sorry. Thanks for reminding me.
24 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1456: Happy Christmas to my allies and to my foes
24 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1456: And this is why France doesn't even have a chance in this game.
24 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1456: 6 total games where France survived: 8-way draw, Savoie CD, Savoie CD, a 5-way draw, holding 1 center for the entire game, and France walks into 5 total Milan/Savoy centers unopposed in the first three years.
24 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1456: honestly if u had not broken our agreement u would b sitting in Como right now. forgive but don't forget.
25 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1456: Besides France, you lasted longer than Firenze. That doesn't happen often.
25 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1456: Because Firenze stopped submitting moves. Also, how would keeping the agreement have helped? I would have disbanded just the same, and been stabbed by you just the same.
25 Dec 11 UTC Autumn, 1456: if that's what u believe. but i had no plans to stab u. b4 u attacked.
