28 May 21 UTC | GG, sorry about the late draw. |
28 May 21 UTC | Was that fun? I thought it was. What did everyone else think of the variant? |
28 May 21 UTC | Pro - the tall and skinny map was great to look at on a phone Con - the tall and skinny map was inconvenient to look at on a computer |
28 May 21 UTC | True, I also thought it has quite a few stalemate lines, especially in the northeast where there are 4 units bordering Cri but even so it is almost impossible to break through if Milan just uses his home centres to defend. Idk if that makes sense, but I found it a bit frustrating that I couldn't make any progress there. |
28 May 21 UTC | Good game guys! Thought it was fun, honestly I voted for a draw what must have been a week ago haha. I agree that there was a serious stalemate line in the north between Venice and I. Not to mention very few seas comparatively. |
28 May 21 UTC | GG! Very fun game, I like this version of the Machiavelli maps a lot more than the previous ones. It seems more balanced (I especially like the new "Avignon" which has4 SCs but is split between two parts of the map), the Papal States seem a little underpowered and there might be too many SCs in hte Balkans. I get from the Milanese / Venetian pov that it might have been stalemate-y but from my view I was super worried even in the late game about being eliminated! Thank you to Aragon for not attacking me in the end, I originally thought that I needed to eliminate you to get in the three-way draw but I'm glad it didn't need to go that way. At first I was slightly annoyed that Venice decided to go all-in on me even though their border wasn't fully defended against Milan, but looking from their pov I can see why they decided to send armies into Urbino/Ancano. I had a good time going up against you, good game! :) |
28 May 21 UTC | Lol thanks likewise |
28 May 21 UTC | I liked Aragon fairly well. If you don't get piled up on year 1, its probably pretty easily defensible. Hard to see how you'll permanently lose control of Tyrennian Sea. |
