10 May 21 UTC GameMaster: Germany voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Concede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat.
10 May 21 UTC Well that was fun I guess. I suck at Germany in GvI lol. Then again, I suck in a lot of the 1v1s bar Cold War. GG
10 May 21 UTC Ah well, that was fun. I almost threw it away there for a moment when I accidentally gave up a couple of centres. But these 1v1 games are all about how soon you can deny your opponent room to expand. The game always turns on grabbing just the one critical additional centre from your opponent, not all the free ones that are so inviting.
10 May 21 UTC It takes a lotout of me to fight that urge. Thought I did decent by leaving Scandinavia and the British Isles open for so long. Figured in this last year, only way I could win was making a mad dash north and making lucky 50/50 guesses for the defenses. Who would you say is advantaged in GvI? Cause I never win as G, but have won as I
10 May 21 UTC The problem is that the mad dash leaves you weaker on holding the enemy back from your centre. I figured I only needed to hold you in the middle and push for either flanks, deciding eventually to overwhelm you in Iberia, then get around into the Atlantic. As soon as I reached the Mid-Atl, I knew I was around you. The problem for G is that while you have an extra free centre of two, they take your units away from the front... whereas all my units stay more or less on the front line.

You need to decide where you are holding (and how many units you need to do that) and where you are attacking and perhaps have 1 free unit soaking up your backline.
10 May 21 UTC I haven't played this variant before, but I see that Germany is stronger on the stats. We can play reverse positions if you like? You set up a game and choose Italy and leave me for Germany. Use the password: Mikey99 :-)

But up to you...
10 May 21 UTC I'm willing to try it, but I think that it will instead reveal who the better player is instead of the better country (and giving the v points or whatever they're called, I think that is fairly well established haha)
