07 Jun 21 UTC Spring, 1999: GameMaster: Please remember that negotiations before the game begins are not allowed.
13 Jun 21 UTC Spring, 1999: Info: This is a choose your country game.
15 Jun 21 UTC Spring, 2000: wonder why the title.
16 Jun 21 UTC Autumn, 2000: Who opened the game?
26 Jun 21 UTC Spring, 2003: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Heartland replacing "thanuj?". Reconsider your alliances.
13 Jul 21 UTC Spring, 2007: I think that all 5 of us have demonstrated our martial prowess and earned a seat at the table. Is it time we started talking peace?
13 Jul 21 UTC Spring, 2007: GameMaster: Peru voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
28 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: Just so that everyone is clear, this game requires only 20SCs to solo win -

"Fall of the American Empire IV, Anon, PPSC, EoG: 20 SCs or "Autumn, 2023", ChooseYourCountry"

Mexico is the only player to refuse to draw, and is on 16 SC's now. He can take the other 4 in one year from California. Beware.
28 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: As far as I can see I’m the only player who has agreed to draw, and everyone has had enough of your poison tongue.
28 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: Quebec how about you just stop trying to poison the well and accept your defeat? As I pointed out to you, the place you thought was unbreakable was broken by Peru and I.

Publicly I want to share with everyone what I told Peru in private. I have no interest in winning the game, and am happy to draw with Cali, Peru and whatever remains of Quebec and Heartland. If I wanted to solo, I would have easily stabbed them by now. But I haven’t.
28 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: Poison the well? By pointing out that you're on the cusp of winning the game alone?

I'm just making sure that everyone realises that the victory conditions in this game is much less than normal on this map. Perhaps you're just annoyed that I'm making that clear.

You are now 4 centres away from a solo victory.
28 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: If you were actually concerned with Mexico winning, you’d accept the draw I offered.
29 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: I am going to gently point out that only Mexico has not clicked the draw button, but he has explained to me why he has yet to do so.
29 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: (Though one could certainly be excused for not noticing that, given the deafening silence that followed Peru's proposal for a draw.)
29 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: I’m not interested in the draw because I’m trying to assist Peru and Cali to get more land. That’s why I’ve promised Peru land north of Virginia and I told Cali to to take Missouri.
29 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: ^Yup!
29 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: Whomever started this game and set the VC limit at a huge number less than usual certainly knew what they were doing. A VC count of 30% total SCs is pretty unusual. Don't know why Mex is getting upset with me for simply pointing out public knowledge.

Its good that you 'told' Cali to take Missouri... now he is busy defending that, leaving his rear areas entirely undefended... why is it upsetting to have that pointed out?
29 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: I can promise Peru land south of the Rio Grande, but that doesn't make it automatically so... but it does divert attention :-)
29 Jul 21 UTC Autumn, 2011: This is the first game of this variant I've played with only 20 SC's to win, but I didn't notice it till you told me
31 Jul 21 UTC Alright folks, that’s about enough from me. Congrats to Quebec and Hartland for the most annoying stalemate I’ve ever played.

Cali, Peru, it was wonderful to work with you two, thanks for the game.
