23 Jan 22 UTC	Spring, 1669: gopher27 (Moderator): Greetings all, Executive decision by a Mod. A player in this game has contracted COVID and feels unable to continue in the game due to illness. This player has asked to be CDed out of all of his games. However, some of these games have been going on for some time, and this player has never missed a turn during membership on the site. So I am choosing to extend this current phases in all of this player's games for 10 days. This has been my decision and was not the request of the player, but I am judging that the inconvenience of this delay is less than having to find one of many new players across multiple games and will better preserve the integrity of several well-developed games. I hope that this is not too offensive to the various affected players and thank you for you patience with life's serendipity. Best wishes, The Mod Team

23 Feb 22 UTC	Thanks for the game, everyone! Well fought Bartolomeu especially, you gave me a tough time around the Waters of the Spanish Main despite how much I outnumbered you in that region. I have to point out that Treasure Island and Mayan Gold were both neutral when I claimed them on the last turn... not sure if those players around them were aware of that fact.
23 Feb 22 UTC	Thanks all, that was exciting despite that natural insecurity/dread the whole game by design. Well done Holland, the chaos of this game was such that once you had momentum in that southeast corner it was almost impossible to stop you. I tried to signal around the point Holland was on 12-15, but virtually impossible to build a coalition in no messaging. As cutthroat as the game was set up to be, a sense of natural justice for me would be a PPSC for this format in future. I was indeed not aware the X territories were SCs as well as transformation squares. I also found the map quite difficult to read in that pocket of bordering SCs on the eastern side!
