20 Aug 22 UTC [Prussia]:GG Turkey!

Have to say: This game was weird in terms of no pressure being put on Turkey. But I get that you all had a long game, before I took over. Thanks, Britain, for sticking with me
20 Aug 22 UTC [USA]:GG everyone! I have a few more thoughts than I usually do, but I also learned on and love this map so here goes.

I interestingly had kind of a hard time in the early game navigating what my builds should be, as the CSA seemed to require more fleets than I had, then Mexico required more armies than I had, and so in the end I was left with a lot more armies than I really needed. I don't play the US that often, so that was an interesting experience.

I wish I could've put more pressure on Turkey than I did. I had initially intended to go east with the first Brazil, but they went after me so I had to put that on hold. I do also think that me going after France might've made it slightly easier for Turkey in Africa, but it likely would've ended up the same.

I also thought after the first Brazil resigned I'd have a chance at moving east with the second one but they kind of just stopped moving. I don't know what that is, and maybe someone could enlighten me, but was the second Brazil just inputting hold orders the entire time? Why weren't they NMRing?

Japan, thank you for seeing most of what my fleets were trying to do (and sorry about EQCC!). I wish we could've held more of a line, and persuaded some of those British fleets back for defense against Turkey, but then again it's really hard to coordinate stuff like that in a gunboat game. Overall though, I appreciate the long-standing alliance!

I'm also wondering why Turkey didn't stab Britain earlier. I feel as if you could've gone for the solo maybe even 5 years earlier. Maybe I'm miscalculating though.

But GG! Congrats on the solo Victorius! May we all meet again.
21 Aug 22 UTC [Britain]:Gg Turkey, yes I wonder myself... I expected the backstab a long Time... I just had to many troops against Japan to try it myself...
21 Aug 22 UTC [Turkey]:GG everyone! I really enjoyed this game.

I first got the realistic idea for a solo around 50 centres, I had thought of it before but I didn't really have a plan of how to get it, but after 50 centres ish I saw a kinda clear path.

But @Germany, I stabbed you in 1874 because even though you helped me greatly against Austria, you were just support holding and I saw some gaps in your defense so I thought it would be a better idea to attack you: to remove another player from a final draw and to make the game more interesting. Well done for holding out so long, I really had to try very hard to take you out, especially since Britain was supporting you.

@USA the moment I stepped foot in REC I knew I would never be able to hold my centres in South America, so I wasn't too upset when you eradicated me from the area lol. I hoped to work with you against Japan though, who I was making some progress against although I got to a bit of a stalemate once I reached the Yellow Sea, so would've needed some naval support.

@Britain thanks for being a great ally throughout the game, I only stabbed you because there was no other way to get the solo, but I really liked the progress you were making against Japan.

And @USA to answer your question, I don't think I could've stabbed Britain 5 years earlier cus I spent the last two years before the stab manoeuvring some units to prepare for the stab, so I wouldn't have been able to take the 9 centres I took from Britain in that final year, and since Germany wouldn't have been eliminated I wouldn't have enough units to solo and I would've lost my best ally. Maybe I could've tried it the year before though, maybe not.
21 Aug 22 UTC [Russia]:I don't remember at all what I've done, but thanks for the game everyone. And congratulations to Turkey, a solo is not happening often.
21 Aug 22 UTC [Prussia]:I guessss you are adressing me with the name Germany, Turkey? :)

Anyways, I calculated my position and since you were bigger from the moment we shared borders, a stab was not going to work for me. I also knew that my units were not sufficient to hold the line, so I expected and fully understand your move haha.

I just had to try and delay you by guessing moves. Sometimes it worked, but sadly I just missed out on surviving by one turn!

But well played :)
21 Aug 22 UTC [Turkey]:Yes sorry Prussia not Germany lmao, my bad
21 Aug 22 UTC [USA]:Oh ok. Honestly I probably would’ve gone against Japan with Turkey had it not been for the fact that it would’ve brought about a Turkish solo far more quickly.
