24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: Hello all. Can I suggest that ezpickins posts the rules here so that there is no confusion? :) |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: these are the rules from a previous game Any alliance made can be announced, and if one of your allies goes to war, you go to war with that person. If your allies declares war on another ally, you choose which ally to support (you can remain neutral). However, in order to attack an ally, you must cancel the alliance first, then in the following season, you declare war.(That is a full year before the attack) A retreating unit can only retreat to enemy lands, his lands or allied lands. If he wants to retreat to neutral lands, he has to request safe passage An SC owned by a player are protected by the war declaration rule which says that a player must declare war 6 months before he may attack a Supply Center occupied by another player. Costal waters are NOT protected by the war declaration rule. They may be attacked and conquered by everyone without a declaration of war. But the attack on occupied costal waters can be considered as an act of war authorizing the defender to declare war immediately without the 6 month latency. This applies to EVERY territory considered costal waters including the English Channel. The Non SC territories can be up for debate if y'all want to decide.I think it should be any non SC territory within one move of an owned SC is considered the owners land and should be protected as such |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: and i think there should be a claiming of neutral SC territories |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: I get the two in my land. I think, any coloured territory should require a war declaration. However that would give Brazil a huge advantage |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: The great dictator of Columbia declares ownership of Qui, the Galagopos Islands, and Panama. |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: Buenos dias from Argentina. The Argentine Republic acknowledges that Corrientes, while historically Argentine, has a Paraguayan history as well. We are willing to negotiate a peaceful settlement with Paraguay in regards to its handover. Montevideo, Patagonia, and San Miguel, however, are wholly Argentine with no negotiations possible. We are also willing to discuss Islas Malvinas with Chile. May our great continent prosper after throwing off the European yoke! |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: What ho! I claim Juan Fernandez and Pas - I trust that is not going to ruffle feathers. Due to my long association with Britain ( Iknow this is a controversial stance, but...), I would also like to make a claim for the Malvinas. |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: I hate to state the obvious, but I think that the Galapagos belongs to Peru - would only be fair. |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: The glorious Argentine Republic recognizes the Chilean claims to the Islas Malvinas, but mandates that if the Malvinas remain garrisoned longer than we deem necessary, we will station a naval vessel in the Goldo de San Jorge for observation and national security reasons. |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: That seems fair. So in for an autumn, and out the following spring. It will take me a couple of years to arrange, though. I hope that all diplomatic niceties can be observed until then. |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: I am certain that we can live together in brotherhood, our cross-Andean friends. We recognize the claim in perpetuity, and will defend it from other claimants until such a time as you can settle the Malvinas. |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: I claim all neutral SC's in my territorial lands including Mranhao, RGs, Parana, and Aqu These lands have simply fallen into chaos and need the law of my armies to maintain order |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: Paraguay (who has none of his own neutrals because this map is screwy that way) takes willing note of Argentina's most gracious offer. I look forward to long seasons of peace between our two great nations. Meanwhile, the Brazilian tyrant's ridiculous claim to ownership of Parana and RGs (traditionally Uruguayan lands, and since Paraguay's name is very similar my claim is better), that claim will be utterly and totally disregarded by the Paraguayan government. I also call all right-thinking and just nations to come to my cause, should the Brazilian tyrant persist in his laughable claims to Parana and RGs. |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: Argentina recognizes Paraguay's claim of Parana and RGS, and will assist the great nation of Paraguay in military actions in those areas, should they be deemed necessary. |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: The Paraguayan people applaud this noble and heroic action on the part of the Argentines. |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: I support Brazils claims to the area, they after all are in his land. |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: That's ridiculous Venezuela and you know it. I have no neutrals in my land :D |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: By the way, in light of the fact that Venezuela is showing friendliness towards Brazil (the biggest player on the board), I call all nations with any sense of proportion and reason to join me in my just war against Brazil! (*war declaration*) |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: Bolivia claims the lands of Potosi and Santa Cruz and supports Paraguay's claim to Parana and RGS. Bolivia is also interested in whether Peru is willing to negotiate the Ari territory? |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1835: The Government of Paraguay would claim land within my own territory? What gall! I applaud the right minded leaders of Venezuela for their support |
