23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: Although I am against abortion. (Unless the mother's life is in danger) And I think the government should pay for the child (food, clothes, healthcare, school). |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: Wauh-oh. Hey Ambassador, any tips for someone playing this game for the first time? |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: Ha ha! Don't ask me. I was in two of the first games on the other server before it crashed. One game I was getting my ass whipped. The other I was just getting a paddling ;-) As Oli mentioned, this is as close to Pure as you get with everyone having a totally equal chance of winning. Apart from that bit of advice, check the rules and consider your strategy appropriately. |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: Is there a possibility the ones closer to the centre have a better chance of winning? |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: Maybe. But the difference would be minimal. There hasn't been enough games played to determine the stats to see if the theory works out in practice. |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: *in a whisper* don't tell anyone im here...its a secret. |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: lol, I was waiting for you to say something along those lines |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: So what's the protocol if I am playing a gunboat or public press and a player tries to cheat via personal message? Just chastise him / her and forget about it? Announce it to the fellow players with a screenshot? Not trying to be a tool about it, but I deplore blatant cheating and want to know what the VDip community thinks... Let's just say this is, ahem, a hypothetical situation... |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: this is not a public press or gunboat... |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: Never stated it was... (?) |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: Then what was with the talk about gunboats and public presses? |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: in his(her?) other game this has come up, but if the protocol is to not call them out on it, LoveDove doesn't want to call them out, and so asked here to get a consensus from people not in her game probably. |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: I thought lovedove was a guy... |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: What I do is email the mods. |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: I'm under the impression that's the right thing to do, but i don't know for gunboat/public only games. It depends how persistent they are i guess. I know for multiaccounting and metagaming, you are meant to email the mods |
23 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: Yes, I am a broseph. Bless you Ancient for figuring out what I was doing...... The party in question stopped because I directed him / her to do so, but that leads me to believe he /she has either done it before, would do it again, or both. Interested to hear everyone else's opinion on this as well. |
24 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 2008: Crap. I can only see global chat colors on my Droid. |
