Thank you, David, for your great work !
The current Version seems great ! Do you know if it will be implemented here, at vdip ?
I have please, for the current Version, one suggestion for a correction, and one question for a clarification.
1° My suggestion for a correction.
The rules text says :
"By way of example, NA1 is adjacent to NA2, NA3, NA4, NA5, NA6, NA7, Greenland Sea, Icelandic Sea, [...] "
However, the name of the Sea on the map is Norwegian Sea and not Icelandic Sea. So, either the name in the text should be "Norwegian Sea", or the name on the map should be "Icelandic Sea".
2° My question.
Would you please clarify the rule regarding movement to, or within, the five Oceanic Provinces ?
Indeed the rules text says :
"The five Oceanic Provinces [...] are merely indicators of adjacency."
However, the rules text then says :
"There are Seven High Seas Provinces within each Oceanic Province. These may be occupied in the same manner and function like any other sea Province."
That sounds to me like a contradiction. So, how does it work ?
For example, does one have to order Bay of Biscay-NAO or does he have to chose one specific High Sea Province with, for example, the order Bay of Biscay-NAO1 ?
But then, what would happen if simultaneosuly another player orders Gulf of Saint Lawrence-NAO1 ? Would these two Fleets bounce despite the fact that the northern half of the Atlantic Ocean is a really huge surface ? In that case, some orders could succeed or fail because of a ridiculous and random parameter ?! And that could give an unfair (because random) advantage to a third player who would order simultaneously, in our example, Sea of Belem-NAO2. If that was the case, that really seems to be a problem.
Also, can one player send Fleets in several High Sea Provinces of the same Oceanic Province ? I suppose so. And so, what would be the maximum number of Fleets that can be sent in an Oceanic Province ? I suppose 7. But then, can combat occur within a High Sea Province ?
