GOAT stood for Greatest alliance Of All Time - it was originally called the SWA (South West Alliance) but eventually it had members everywhere so it had to be renamed. I wasn't in the game before that, but I think the IU (Iberian Union) was the equivalent in that game and covered at least half the map. |

It was at war with a couple other large alliances, and then combined with another alliance, the NA, to form a mega alliance and drew the game with 16 players still alive. |
