25 Apr 13 UTC | Spring, 1901: Info: This is a choose your country game. |
25 Apr 13 UTC | Autumn, 1901: A much better opening by you if I do say so myself :) |
25 Apr 13 UTC | Autumn, 1901: Why thank you :D |
25 Apr 13 UTC | Spring, 1902: dang, that move to belgium caught me by surprise! Strategically, that is a good and bad move. Good- it gives you position in Venice which, if I want another fleet, lets you pressure my home centers and likely clog up Trieste from fleet builds. I cannot dislodge you from venice without sacrificing a center for a build next year. Bad- it gives me great positioning in Munich. You will have to support a unit into Burgundy top prevent me from taking it and pressuring your centers, which gives me time to move more armies into the german area of the map. If I gain control of that, your only hope is pushing the med very quickly and getting through to italy/turkey. |
25 Apr 13 UTC | Autumn, 1902: I'm trapped in trieste now :p Though now my naval power is bigger (with builds) and you cannot make yours any bigger until you retake trieste. |
25 Apr 13 UTC | Autumn, 1902: Man, I took the risk and it didnt work! Yes, that sets me back big time because for two whole years i won't be able to build in Trieste :[ |
25 Apr 13 UTC | Autumn, 1903: Yes that could be crucial for you. Also what is the notes tab on the top? what is it's purpose? |
26 Apr 13 UTC | Autumn, 1903: Its a new feature you can check out what Oli wrote on the forum |
26 Apr 13 UTC | Autumn, 1903: Yeah I saw, thanks though :D |
26 Apr 13 UTC | Autumn, 1903: Damn, I almost guessed right in germany! i had which support was which switched xD. I'll try and post a strategic post sometime tomorrow but if you wanna post what youre thinking I'll respond to it later :D |
26 Apr 13 UTC | Autumn, 1903: What I think i'm going to do know is take some of england and go for norway, sweden and st.pete. At the same time holding a stalemate line in germany and taking Italy. What do you think? |
26 Apr 13 UTC | Spring, 1904: I think germany is going to be easy to set up the stalemate, if not also push me out of berlin. That would set you up in a very good position to win. I am likely going to regain venice this year, but youre still in position to break through the med and even make gains in italy. if I lose italy, I am toast for the match :P |
27 Apr 13 UTC | Autumn, 1904: So I looked at the signup thread and looked at the profiles for the players we will be playing against. The two people you will be playing have zero experience with FvA games which is a great sign. the guys im playing have a total of one game between them, which they lost 6-22 xD so we may be in for some easy matches but practice makes perfect :D |
27 Apr 13 UTC | Autumn, 1904: You never know haha but I felt more confident looking at their profiles but as you said practice is still good |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Spring, 1905: Well my first FvA is starting. Wish me luck! Also thanks for the extra practice! |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Spring, 1905: Best of luck me friend! :D I'll follow it as best as I can and root you on! (no help of course:P) |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Do you want to draw or continue? |
28 Apr 13 UTC | up to you! I don't mind drawing so we can focus on the vdip world cup games. we cna keep the other verdun game going simply as a way to talk strategy to all three of us |
28 Apr 13 UTC | GameMaster: Austria voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has. |
