20 May 13 UTC | Spring, 1901: Info: This is a choose your country game. |
20 May 13 UTC | Spring, 1901: How come there were two password boxes ... |
20 May 13 UTC | Spring, 1901: who knows. lol |
26 May 13 UTC | Autumn, 1906: This is sandgoose checking in from overseas, I'm still coming back te 27th but I had the opportunity to check on the games butterhead was sitting for me. This is not a game he was supposed to sit and I am requesting this game gets replayed as I have not made a single move. |
26 May 13 UTC | Autumn, 1906: I will check the messages when I return, but this game should not have started |
26 May 13 UTC | Autumn, 1906: Welcome back goose ~ A few things to clarify on this issue though. Firstly, I would say that it is a bad timing to request a restart. Given that I am one centre from winning, it is just too fishy for this to happen, and I think it is absolutely normal for an ordinary person to think that you are trying to take advantage of your sitter's mistake in order to write off my potential victory. I am not actively suspecting conspiracies, but hey, in this context I do get the benefit of reasonable doubt right? But, I believe that you are an honest man who do not take advantage of opportunities like that. I tend to take that your sitter's mistake is the truth. Still, there are some problematic bits in the case. When you posted the game link on the forum thread one or two weeks before, I told you that I was in my exams and I would join when they ended. I joined, and recently you/your sitter once again posted the link on the forum thread, and nothing was said about your sitter not supposed to sit this game or whatever. It seems that if there are any miscommunication between you and your sitter, either you (since you picked the sitter and you bear the risk of not giving clear instructions to him/her) or your sitter (in the case where he/she violated your clear instructions) should bear the responsibility, instead of compromising the interest of an innocent third party, which, in this case, I am that third party. And frankly speaking, what I mean by "compromising the interest" does NOT depend on whether I am winning or not, because: a) If I am winning, I definitely do deserve it, since I am not at fault at all; and, b) If it is the other way round i.e. you are at 17 centres, I still do not deserve a second chance because of your mistake I hope the above ideas are made clear to you, and to wrap up, I think you/your sitter should be completely liable for this incident, and sorry, I do not agree with your proposal of restarting the game. However, now that I know of the truth, I will only save my orders and will vote for a pause. Ideally, if your sitter realizes the problem we are having now, he/she will also agree to a pause. When you return, we shall continue the game. |
26 May 13 UTC | Autumn, 1906: GameMaster: Austria voted for a Pause. If everyone votes Pause the game stop and wait till everybody votes Unpause. Please consider backing this. |
26 May 13 UTC | Autumn, 1906: I think that's unfortunate. I'm not back until Tuesday, I did not realize you woul join the game as time was almost out so I didn't find te need to communicate that to my sitter. Looks like it will just have to be so. I just wanted to see if that would be a possibility and it looks like it won't be either way, I'd still love to have the opportunity to play you a 1v1 as I've seen the moves you've made this turn, they're very good. Ill allow you to win this game for the tourney though I don't necessarily agree that it's right. I see where you are coming from in regards to your stance, as much as I disagree, your points are valid. |
26 May 13 UTC | Autumn, 1906: I shall wait for you then. Thanks for your understanding. |
27 May 13 UTC | Autumn, 1906: Apologize to both of you(this is the sitter). I wasn't aware I wasn't supposed to be taking care of this game, I just played it because Fasces was getting impatient with games not having started. I do realize this has skewed the results slightly, and I do sincerely apologize if my performance has messed up the rankings in the tourney. I take the blame on this one Goose, my bad. Don't blame you if you don't want me to sit for you ever again :( |
27 May 13 UTC | Autumn, 1906: It's okay, I think everyone is getting impatient with games not starting. |
28 May 13 UTC | Autumn, 1906: GameMaster: France voted for a Pause. If everyone votes Pause the game stop and wait till everybody votes Unpause. Please consider backing this. |
28 May 13 UTC | Autumn, 1906: well this is eventful. Is there a surrender flag available? also, lukas, let's play a 1v1, i was looking forward to it but then...yeah, the game is over :/ |
29 May 13 UTC | Autumn, 1906: You can always click concede to surrender lol Yea sure, you make a new game (doesn't have to FvA) and i'll join ~ |
29 May 13 UTC | Any preference you have? |
29 May 13 UTC | GameMaster: France voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat. |
