20 Aug 13 UTC | Spring, 1901: Let's see if I play any better with some space to start from and a better understanding that I must focus on attacking you. :-) |
20 Aug 13 UTC | Spring, 1901: well you have no choice but to move in my direction; ) |
20 Aug 13 UTC | Spring, 1901: i see you've had a good start in the med? |
21 Aug 13 UTC | Autumn, 1902: Yes, so far so good. |
23 Aug 13 UTC | Well thats it...i won :) |
23 Aug 13 UTC | How have you won? |
23 Aug 13 UTC | Damn it to hell. I was set-up to knock you out of Berlin. I guess I should have used my fleets better in the Med. Also, I see that being Britain gave me a slight disadvantage as I had to keep two units close to home to convoy armies across. |
23 Aug 13 UTC | I was carefully counting SC's to get to 18 before you did. I thought taking St. Pete gave me some buffer. |
23 Aug 13 UTC | actually, i think England has the better position...i mean look; if you would have been a little bit more aggressive, especially in Germany and the med, i would not have been able to get those 18 SCs, it was a slight win |
23 Aug 13 UTC | I guess I'm just too cautious. I tried to come around the edges rather than attacking the middle. |
23 Aug 13 UTC | ...and at the edges you were cautious too. I think one of your main mistakes was to take Portugal in the first year, instead of Spain sc and then right to Tunis/Italy in the next year...that was precious time i could use to strengthen my position there and when you came i had the upper hand. |
23 Aug 13 UTC | Well, I can only learn by playing. Let me know if you want to do another one. We could pick yet another pair of starting countries. |
23 Aug 13 UTC | which do you want? |
23 Aug 13 UTC | Oh, I don't care. Surprise me. :-) |
