25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: GameMaster: Please remember that negotiations before the game begins are not allowed.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: Info: This is a choose your country game.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: I gave you the Confederacy, because in 5/5 games of this variant I have played, Confederacy has won.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: I will set up another 1 vs 1 game, in a variant I have never played before.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: Sounds good, Chris. What do you think, should you give live commentary on our moves, ot help me improve my game?
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: *to
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: No. You will learn by seeing my moves. I'll do some explanation after move results are shown.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: I have set up another game, "Emo vs Chris-2". It is England vs Turkey, with random allocation of countries. Same password.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: OK, great. I am getting back to my readings now. I am looking forward to these 1vs1's. Take care and we'll chat soon.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: Thanks for setting up these games.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: I'm looking forward to playing as soon as you're ready. I also have news about a game of Monopoly I played last Monday with Niall. Player moves 3 spaces each turn, same as our game, except we didn't use Chance cards. Nothing happens on the Chance space. It was a very close and very interesting game. Niall got a higher take than mine, but he ran out of cash and couldn't unmortgage his properties.
28 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: It looks like there are a lot of possible opening moves here, for now. It makes me think hard, which is good.
28 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1860: Hey, don't save your orders. Make up your mind, then click "Ready". Then the game goes faster.

There is no negotiation, and there is nothing which can change (except your mind), so make up your mind and go straight to the next phase.
28 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1860: OK. One question. Are Richmond and the other territory with the altered SC symbol normal supply centers?
28 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1860: Yes. They are normal supply centres with no other significance.
04 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1864: I think I must concede here. We can play on, but I'd rather start a new game. What do you think?
04 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1864: As you like. I think it will take time for me to beat you, but my lead will increase progressively. If you are unable to build, it's hard for you to fight. Eventually my new builds will come into play, and I should be able to close in on you.
04 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1864: I don't think your position in this game is hopeless yet. My preference is to start a new game, AND to play on in this game. But you may concede anytime you like.
04 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1864: Let's play this game at least until 1868. Three more years.

When you enter a set of orders, the game will proceed to the next phase. Just carry on and enter the next set of orders while everything is fresh in your mind. The games go faster that way. The way you have been playing, I'm always ahead of you, and then I have to wait, and each time I have to study the position afresh. A good game only has to take 20 minutes total time, if we are both online and we concentrate on nothing else.
05 Mar 14 UTC It will now be 18 units vs 4 units. I'd say it's no longer worth playing.
