13 May 14 UTC Spring, 1999: GameMaster: Missing orders for Spring, 1999 (Diplomacy) from a country with 2 or more SCs. Extending phase. The game will continue after this phase even if you do not find a replacement.
13 May 14 UTC Spring, 1999: GameMaster: splat has taken over Texas replacing "Eki83". Reconsider your alliances.
21 May 14 UTC Autumn, 2001: Was there a password for this game? Need to have the MODs take a look at some ordering issues in the game code.
21 May 14 UTC Autumn, 2001: No, there wasn't a password for this game.
23 May 14 UTC Autumn, 2001: Good game everyone. I got teamed on like fuck, but so be it.
23 May 14 UTC Autumn, 2001: Good game, Mexico. It was a pleasure.
27 May 14 UTC Autumn, 2002: Maple syrup drips across the board.
28 May 14 UTC Spring, 2003: maybe it looks that way but it is just a few large pieces of land with only Ice and wastelands !
On the other hand, Cow boys are spreading their ranches and we will soon all be rodeo riding and promoting fire arms !!
28 May 14 UTC Spring, 2003: putwang! putwang! if ever there were a story, it would be the cowboys vs. the canucks. guns vs. hockey sticks and mullets.
28 May 14 UTC Spring, 2003: HAHA nice one
29 May 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: GameMaster: LLGeorge has taken over Cuba replacing "Miklagard". Reconsider your alliances.
08 Jun 14 UTC Spring, 2006: GameMaster: mace has taken over Quebec replacing "Braillard". Reconsider your alliances.
08 Jun 14 UTC Spring, 2006: hi guys, hope for a good game and am open for alliances
08 Jun 14 UTC Spring, 2006: Whoa... quite a change.
25 Jun 14 UTC Spring, 2010: GameMaster: Quebec voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
25 Jun 14 UTC Spring, 2010: Why vote for a draw? I don't understand this. I've never voted for a draw even if I was losing. As part of a partnership or a failed map when more than two players quit immediately, DRAW makes sense.
25 Jun 14 UTC Spring, 2010: well when parties keep missing orders (like cuba last turn) it kinda screws up the game as others take advantage of it. even if NYS, Cuba and me won't have a chance of winning we had a position in the Atlantic which has been strongly weekend by the missed turn
25 Jun 14 UTC Spring, 2010: and according to your profile you only played 52 phases and finished no game... well then you probably never came in that kind of situations so far, so your sentence is a bit - lets say - interesting ;) ;) I finished some more games than you as well as some more phases and thus I know that a CD or a missed phase could give the game a significant change
25 Jun 14 UTC Spring, 2010: I'm sorry, I play at webdiplomacy and have for about 2 years. It is very similar. I have 43 games under my belt over there. This isn't the game I expected it to be. What I see is certain players that get pummelled running away. That happens too often in online diplomacy and is unacceptable. I could be wrong, but the evidence stacks against people who are doing poorly.

You are not. But your predecessor quit as soon as he was stabbed. On the contrary, Peru has kept in despite a massive early stab. Florida has been up against three enemies that only he/she could take on until recently. I've had it easy on this map in comparison to Peru and Florida. But both Florida and Peru, under heavy-hitting opponents, have kept up.

I played diplomacy first at age 12 and on a board. I had only played on a board (at lunches) until three years ago when I played the FB version. Never, ever had I played a game where a person withdrew from the game until coming to internet. It is too easy to escape a game and call it a wash when things don't go your way.

I'm by no means a genius player. This game, I've been lucky with allies and with neighbours. People have quit. California was only in for a couple of turns. Heartland came and went multiple times.

It is sad but it is the way it has gone.
