24 Nov 14 UTC reasons I stopped giving orders:
a) there was a "ghost SC" that affected the gameplay; after the first few turns, I was wondering where the 50th center was, because we had 48 total + 1 neutral at that point; it turns out that "Grain Coast" was marked as an SC in the area table but not on the map; I got credit for it when Por started attacking me and I retreated there on a fall turn; I bug reported it and they changed it to a non-SC, but didn't announce the change; Por got control of the same space by next fall but by then it was just a regular space; I asked the mods about cancelling the game, didn't get a response for a long while but finally a move or so ago they said it's not their policy to cancel games because of bugs (or give people the info to decide themselves apparently)
b) the map was somewhat unreadable to me which affected my play (e.g. I thought Cuba was an SC because it looks like there's a dot on it when a fleet is there; I also apparently couldn't tell the difference between a fleet in NWAtl and NovSc because I didn't see it when Eng moved in right as I moved out)
c) I also didn't realize that this was a "home SC builds only" variant but that was my fault (essentially I didn't try to defend StLou/Mont because I thought I could build in other centers that were easier to defend)

First time with the variant and didn't like it or the bugs/unannounced bug fixes; 3/10 would not play again :)
24 Nov 14 UTC i moved East Sahara instead of East Africe by mistake. Twice)
