07 Jul 15 UTC | Spring, 1901: Oh, I've been practicing on FvA. IvG is gonna be interesting. |
07 Jul 15 UTC | Spring, 1901: I'm glad I didn't pick FvA then. :-) I'm going to bed, but I'll enter the first moves. |
07 Jul 15 UTC | Spring, 1902: Ok, the first 2 moves. |
07 Jul 15 UTC | wow. What happened here? I thought I had an early lead. Fortunately, I just need to have 1 win to keep my position. |
07 Jul 15 UTC | That move to Venice absolutely killed me in that other game. Though if I could somehow draw it with you by some miracle... |
07 Jul 15 UTC | Personally, I think its impossible to win as Italy in this variant. Germany has too much of an advantage |
07 Jul 15 UTC | EvT and Duo have the best odds for those challenging upwards. FvA, GvI the best odds for those receiving challenges. huh, interesting |
07 Jul 15 UTC | Actually, I usually do better as Italy in this variant. I'm surprised I didn't do so well. I am wondering if it is fair to allow the higher ranked player pick the map AND have the advantage of winning if they get 1-1 outcome. I'll send a PM regarding this later. |
07 Jul 15 UTC | Well, either way gg. There's no feasible way I could've taken more SC's from you than neutrals you would've grabbed. I just think that this variant is massively unbalanced due to the reliance on armies. As you can see, I've won this with just two fleets - 1 of which never really came into play. And when it comes to armies, Germany has a huge advantage in terms of ease of moving them around. |
07 Jul 15 UTC | Yes. Good game. |
07 Jul 15 UTC | I'm going to spend a little time to make sure you have it though. :-) |
07 Jul 15 UTC | Good game. |
07 Jul 15 UTC | Thanks! |
