02 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1995: Ah, the taste of betrayal.
12 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1996: Just returned from a busy weekend...sorry all!!
30 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1998: someone should pick our participants more carefully. germany missed the second time.
30 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1998: Definitely agreed.
30 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1998: Oops...weekends
30 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1998: Sorry...I am online quite a lot, but alway too lazy to save orders :/
Will work on myself!
20 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 2001: Oh well...Guess I'm the official king of NMR
27 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 2002: lol...if I was a superhero, my super ability would be to miss phases by a minute :DD
27 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 2002: It wouldn't matter, you are still a terrible player. The only reason you lasted this long was because the rest of us were propping you up as a buffer. Just quit already.
27 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 2002: Well "terrible" is a pretty hard description
27 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 2002: What word would you use to describe someone who "forgot" to enter a turn 4 times in a single game? A non-terrible player would not sabotage a game like this.
27 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 2002: Uuh...forgetful? :P
27 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 2002: Germany, i recommend putting in the best 'default' moves possible early in the phase, and then modifying as you diplomacize. that way, you at least have some moves entered if you miss the phase. but really, four misses is quite over the top for a game with a minimum reliability rating.
29 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 2002: Yeah I'm sorry. This is only game here and I'm fucking it up really hard... :D
02 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 2007: Fuck sorry guys thought I saved and then got on a flight
22 Apr 16 UTC GameMaster: France voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
22 Apr 16 UTC gg all
22 Apr 16 UTC Always enjoy this variant, both for its complexity, and for its balance. Although, this time out was a bit frustrating. With such a jump on centers and, hence, units in the end, I felt I should really have been able to solo. But it turns out Ukraine is an awful position with regards to northern stalemate lines, which ultimately defeated my solo op before it ever really got going, as the three of you would have easily been able to reduce me in size and push me back to the stalemate line I had already passed should I have made a run for it.

It was also frustrating because it turned out my original alliance with Italy and Poland would have secured a three-way draw (and provided perhaps a better shot to solo, though for Poland too). But this alliance ended up running into a lot of problems, first with Poland stabbing, then with Italy having real-life issues that prevented any real planning and diplomacy for quite a number of seasons after Poland came back onboard (though kudos to Italy for at least getting almost all your moves in), and finally with Poland stabbing again. But had the three of us kept on our original track, we would have been able to repel the west before they got into position (and if Germany hadn't kept missing moves, we could have really dominated) and Egypt could have been eliminated altogether. In fact, it was only because of Italy's inability to devote time to the game and resulting turn towards being reactionary, instead of proactive, that I could not proceed to eliminate Egypt.

Turkey is always a tough nut to crack and tassa did an excellent job of keeping me occupied and keeping himself in play despite really tough circumstances early. And while I can't blame Russia for attacking a natural enemy, I was open to breaking the Ukraine/Russia mold and working together at the outset of the game, but Russia clearly was not. Still, despite a comment I heard to the contrary, and despite the frustration with not being able to do better when things had lined up so well early, I very much enjoyed the game and this continues to be my favorite variant. Thanks to everyone for playing.
