07 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1901: GameMaster: Please remember that negotiations before the game begins are not allowed.
07 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1901: Info: This is a choose your country game.
07 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1904: whoah... Big push into Italy. Thought you might convoy to Pie with support from Mar but overlooked the double push.
07 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1904: you're always producing more than me but I'm learning about the movements so it's all good. Glad that I'm surprising you and sometimes anticipating your moves :)
07 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1905: You're playing a much better game now.
08 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1906: Have to go out now, so will enter Autumn moves later.
08 Jan 16 UTC how come sweden can go to denmark without a convoy but spain can't go to nth africa without one?
08 Jan 16 UTC i stuffed up one move last turn that fucked me in the ass
08 Jan 16 UTC Spain (spa) does not have a border with North Africa (naf). They are separated by the Western Mediterranean Sea (wes). If you could travel spa -> wes via land then you would not be able to travel directly from the Mid-Atlantic Ocean to Western Mediterranean (mid -> wes), you have to travel via spa or naf first.
09 Jan 16 UTC Denmark (den) on the other hand does have a border with Sweden (swe). Thus you can travel den -> swe via land.
09 Jan 16 UTC This is all explained in the official rules that I sent you.
09 Jan 16 UTC Yeah I can see you mucked up your orders. Happened to me earlier in the game too. I suggest you look at the interactive map first before clicking ready. It makes it much clearer exactly what order you have entered.
09 Jan 16 UTC Things are looking messy for me too. You have an army behind my enemy lines. You will probably make some gains off me I would say.
09 Jan 16 UTC If you find yourself in a seven person game you might find they talk in abbreviations. All territories are represented by three letter abbreviations.
This link shows you popular abbreviations

09 Jan 16 UTC good game Keith. You had some very nice moves in there.
09 Jan 16 UTC thanks thought you need 20?
09 Jan 16 UTC That was unlucky about not understanding about Denmark (although the convoy to liv was actually a very good move).
And unlucky to stuff up your orders at a crucial point. But you had me worried. It's hard for Austria to hold the north because he can't get any fleets up there. So if you have been able to hang on a bit longer you would have eventually captured nwy, swe, and stp.
09 Jan 16 UTC 18 supply centres are need to win. There are a total of 34 supply centres, meaning a draw would be 17 each. 18 means you control over half of Europe.
09 Jan 16 UTC If we try another game sometime we could do a variation on this... Germany vs Italy.
It is less balanced (Germany has a big advantage over Italy, and can in theory force a win). You could go Germany I play Italy. That might even things up a bit.
09 Jan 16 UTC Big advantage is probably overstating it. But definitely an advantage. If you look at the stats for the game Germany has 742 solos on this site, compared to 437 solos for Italy.
