21 Mar 17 UTC | Congrats on the win RUFF! |
21 Mar 17 UTC | Good game all, and nice solo Ruff. |
21 Mar 17 UTC | VERY nice win, Ruff... I didn't see that rogue fleet coming around... not sure what I could have done about it if i HAD seen it... but that is my excuse! Well executed. |
21 Mar 17 UTC | Great job, Ruff. I knew you had made it to far this way and would get it and there wasn't any stopping you. |
21 Mar 17 UTC | Very nice job, Ruffhaus. Once you sent that rogue fleet through SPO and over toward Shimazo in 1574, that made things inevitable for you. |
21 Mar 17 UTC | 28. Show off :P |
21 Mar 17 UTC | I'll update the scoring when you stab Germany ;) |
21 Mar 17 UTC | Thanks, everyone. I enjoyed the duels with Shimazu down the stretch. I felt that sending the rogue fleet was a huge risk to my right flank, but I also saw the upside as sealing to win, so i went for it. I do feel bad for stabbing some of you, Mapu and Doc particularly. Both of you made reasonable gestures of cooperation, which might have appealed to me in other games. I chose to play ruthlessly in this one, and I guess that shows. I confess that my decisions were influenced based upon a lot of perceived indecision and concern about facing dot-grab stabs that I've been seeing a lot of lately. When you don't know how a player is it's tougher to trust. I went for 28 at the end in case there's a tiebreaker, but I'm pretty sure Bozo will smoke us all. |
21 Mar 17 UTC | I knew I was taking a risk by leaving the centers open near you, and given the way this map is, you need to play very aggressively to have a shot. So don't feel bad! |
