11 Oct 17 UTC Autumn, 1890: GameMaster: Germany voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
10 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1905: GameMaster: Someone has taken over China replacing "TheWorldCouldBeSoDifferent". Reconsider your alliances.
03 Feb 18 UTC This was a pretty epic game. I had a series of lucky guesses and France finally deciding to leave Austria alone right at the end to stop Japan. I was about ready to concede - if Tashkent had fallen, it would have been all over and I had to leave it undefended for a few turns.

Well done to Japan for making the strong run at the solo.

Thanks to France for laying off me at the end, when I needed to run over China to stop Japan. I had attacked you in the middle, as I was nervous about your intentions against after finishing off Austria, so decided to put a bit of pressure on. But then China collapsed and I had to move east anyway.

Sorry to China #2 for having to overrun you, but basically Japan's centres + your centres was > 50 and so I needed to take some of them. I was going to be happy to support you to hold in your last remaining centres if it came to it, but you attacked me to make that irrelevant. Understandable though.

Thanks to Austria for the game long peace. Not sure why France was so intent on squashing you, but I felt if I joined in, it'd be a solo to either France or Japan and I was in the middle...
03 Feb 18 UTC Incredible game. Italy, much respect for not stabbing. I was certain that you were going to roll me for the solo attempt once France started to penetrate me.
03 Feb 18 UTC too many people were pounding down on me. especially china was annoying. attacking me, but later nmr-ing all the time. really would have loved to work long time with germany, but his builds indicated all the time that he is planing to attack me. the game had its moments, though.
03 Feb 18 UTC @Italy, you could have not attacked me.
03 Feb 18 UTC Japan would have soloed if he didn't
03 Feb 18 UTC That's how I saw it too.
04 Feb 18 UTC @Italy and Austria : Sorry that I must attacked Austria for intention on making Japan push the draw button.

Since I couldn't get a leeway to access Japan then I must do something to deter Japan : geeting close to 50 SCs. I never meant to destroy Austria, I deem he couldn't really help against Japan either. So I attacked him in order to gain 40 SCs and then perhaps nibble Italy a bit so Japan would push Draw button before I go Solo.

However, when Italy attacked me, I know that my intention isn't communicated to him, so I refrain on taking his SCs in order to let him be vanguard to close up Japanese expansion.

Luckily, everything goes well in the end.
04 Feb 18 UTC I was a bit worried when you lost Omsk, but yes all went well in the end!
04 Feb 18 UTC Well, without Tsarisyn or Orenburg support, Omsk is vulnerable indeed.
05 Feb 18 UTC So close! ;-) Good game all. A long one and a fun one. Thanks for your patience in drawing it out for the solo attempt. I wanted to try but wasn't going to stab my Chinese(1) friend. Once he went awol it was game time. I didn't move quite fast enough.
@Italy smart move coming east on me. Was only half hoping you wouldn't - it would probably have be an easy solo if you'd not. Central Asia was exposed long enough for me to take control, but I couldn't get there fast enough.
@France, what a long-term standoff in the south seas. Our sailors must be worn out!
@uber, blessings for coming in to keep the game going. Sorry to steamroll you and encouraging Italy to do the same. :-) Curses for denying me a solo! ;-)
11 Feb 18 UTC Finally it's over. Well done for the four winner at last.
I don't agree with Britain. You attacked me in 1887 first in Africa and I counterattacked. Before this I did my best to keep peace with you.
11 Feb 18 UTC What's more, when Britain expressed the hope of a truce in 1890F, I also felt France was too strong. So I stop the attacke in 1891S, but it's a pity you didn't wait for my response and attacked me again.
11 Feb 18 UTC Are you sure your memory serves you well?
winter 1885: fleetbuilds in Kiel and Kamerun. who do you believe i would think you are trying to use that against? i moved assuming that is hostile, but did not attack you.
1886: Moving to Skagerak, and another fleet build in Kamerun. very great for sending peaceful messages.

after that i had enough. to me it seemed like you are trying to build up forces against me, but postponed attacks, because i had enough stuff so a campaign was not easy. But i could not trust you to leave myself open. So if your intention was not to attack me, you really should consider in your next gunboat game that all your actions are being watched and people draw conclusions form the messages those actions send - whether true or only perceived doesnt really matter at that point. It's not like i wanted to fight you - i had enough on my plate with china and france - but felt if i don't move fast it will only get worse
11 Feb 18 UTC Definitely don't trust you memory tassa - you kept forgetting to ready in gunboat! ;-)
11 Feb 18 UTC i didnt forget, i just rarely ready. be it gunboat or normal. :D
