09 Sep 17 UTC Spring, 1: (TheWorldCouldBeSoDifferent): How's it going?
09 Sep 17 UTC Spring, 1: (President Eden): All good here. Caught the bad end of some sinus irritation, but I'm over the hill now, and just in time for some nice, unseasonably cool breezy weather :)

How are you?
09 Sep 17 UTC Spring, 1: (TheWorldCouldBeSoDifferent): I'm great thanks, no sinus irritation and I'm at 19:30 for 5k again :). (Another 2 minutes to get to my pb, but let's ignore that, haha).
Cool breezy weather... Are you in England? The weather is suiting me perfectly at the moment
09 Sep 17 UTC Spring, 1: (President Eden): No, I'm actually in Hurricane Central right now... the US Gulf Coast, but luckily we've dodged Harvey and it looks like we'll dodge Irma too. There's a truly angelic cold front north of us that is simultaneously keeping temperatures cool and driving hurricanes away, how lucky can you get?

5k huh? Bless you. Running is tough. I'm sure you can get those last two minutes shaved off!
09 Sep 17 UTC Spring, 1: (TheWorldCouldBeSoDifferent): I range from 5k to 10miles. Hopefully when I'm a bit older (30ish) I'll move onto (half/full) marathons.
Glad you seem to be dodging the hurricanes. People tell me I'm odd for only having 2 reason for being interested in the Caribbean and of those being I want to be in a hurricane...
20 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 4: GameMaster: Rome voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat.
24 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 6: GameMaster: Egypt voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
30 Sep 17 UTC GGs y'all!
30 Sep 17 UTC Good game guys.
I believe you saved me there my Grecian God so thank you for that. Also thank you for not attacking me when our border became slightly tense.
My Egyptian Sphinx, we were having an amusing "to me, to you, to me, to you" time with Numidia and Leptis at the end there, haha. Thank you for being such a good ally.
Rome, you were a noble foe, but never stood a chance against 2 hostile fronts so don't be disappointed with your play. Hard luck
Persia, we never had anything to do with each other, but you were the Eastern Rome so hard luck to you too.
Thanks to all for playing.
30 Sep 17 UTC Thanks to all.
30 Sep 17 UTC Yeah. Never stood a chance with peace everywhere else! Well played
30 Sep 17 UTC I planned to go after Persia first in order to set myself up in a corner and be able to expand safely; Persia is the most successful country according to vdip's statistics, while Greece is one of the weakest, so I figured taking down a rival and getting a more secure position was the correct play.

Fate had other plans. Rome got off to a hot start and tried to push the advantage I conceded to him in Croatia and Vienna, and Persia's defense was too spirited for me to crack while also fighting off a Roman incursion, so I made peace with having taken just Chersonesus and set off to expand westward instead. I could see that Rome quickly had a change of heart, but I had committed too much tempo to turn back.

The border with Carthage got tense because I realized a turn or two too late that I had done more damage to Rome than I should have. I wanted to try to help Rome hold the homeland, since I wasn't going to be able to defend against Carthage once Italy fell. But I didn't do a good enough job setting that up.

I also think I reacted incorrectly to Egypt's attack on Miletus. I needed to punish it of course, but I wasn't aggressive enough when I had a window, and let Egypt get too much of an edge on Persia without exploiting the window I had to outflank them in Gulf of Sytris.
30 Sep 17 UTC Definitely on that last part. I thought you were about to save me! And you chickened out. ;-)
01 Oct 17 UTC Good game everyone. Forgive me of my poor English.
Thanks for my ally Carthage. your humility in Leptis at the beginning of the game has given me strongly support in the war against Persia. thanks also for keeping the alliance when I got into trouble and had to disband army in Leptis, actually I was ready for giving up Leptis and hold Cyrene.
01 Oct 17 UTC Greece has a full view of general situation in the game and keep the balance between every country.
Greece and Egypt are week countries in this map because they are not in the corner. So my plan is carving up Persia with Greece. But I was disappointed when Greece left Chersonesus and left Sinope to Persia. I had to fight alone.
There was three reasons that I land in Mileuts. Firstly I need a new fleet to break the ice when I lack chance to break the lines of Persia. Secondly, I wanted to attack Sinope to weaken Persia. Thirdly, I thought Greece could get most of Italy and would be too strong, so I need to contain your forces.
01 Oct 17 UTC I didn't take Leptis because I strongly believe in once I've made an alliance, I keep that alliance. Regardless of whether they are winning losing. I'm glad we stayed strong allies throughout the game!
Greece it's interesting to see your view of the way Rome was divided, I was confused as to why you didn't take it sooner, but now that I see why the theory makes sense (the putting it into practice was the struggle)
