02 Feb 18 UTC Autumn, 1901: Anyone else fearing the juggernaut?
04 Feb 18 UTC Autumn, 1901: I'm feeling it
07 Feb 18 UTC Autumn, 1902: Well, good luck to those who remain
05 Mar 18 UTC GameMaster: France voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
06 Mar 18 UTC Gg
06 Mar 18 UTC Really nicely played. Organic cooperation between some neighbors with minimal communication elsewhere lead to a clear endgame that was surprisingly free from a flurry of late stabs and escalation :)
06 Mar 18 UTC Thx to al allies.... to germany, who wasn't upset of my stab-try, to russia for the very good and trustfull beginning and france for the last moves against italy.
Good game
06 Mar 18 UTC Turkey got the benefit of me not having the resources to punish and not being willing to trust that Russia would condone me pivoting to the south east. Since the stab did no damage and Italy hadn't benefited from it, it was worth keeping the peace in the Balkans.
06 Mar 18 UTC If I didn't need Germany up north I would have aided Turkey against Germany. It would have been a very different game.
06 Mar 18 UTC I managed to enter the draw more through blind luck than anything, being two-pronged by England and Italy. It all boiled down to Germany not sweeping in to also grab a piece of the action, and England ending up in an even worse jam.
06 Mar 18 UTC And if I hadn't needed a viable France to keep England and Italy from growing and coming for me, I could have gobbled some French holdings, but I think I'd have been limited to Paris and Belgium and that—like turning on Turkey—didn't seem to be worth it. Ultimately, I needed the SCs in the Med to be split, not monopolized. Powerful Italy would be bad for me, a more powerful Turkey would be bad for me. A decent France, running into a decent Turkey... that was manageable.
