25 Mar 18 UTC | Spring, 1901: I played an 8 hour game of Twilight Imperium 4 today. im gonna enter initial moves and close down my computer (and my brain) now |
25 Mar 18 UTC | Spring, 1901: No worries, it's a day per phase...good luck and good night! Also, never forget that there is an option to transform your units here! |
27 Mar 18 UTC | Autumn, 1904: By the way, what is so much better about backstabbr.com? I never tried that out :) |
27 Mar 18 UTC | Autumn, 1904: 1) the interface is far superior both functionally and aesthetically 2) sandbox feature allows you to play all powers in an active match to find the best orders 3) works perfectly on mobile 4) active devs 5) i'd pay a subscription it's that good the negatives are the player base regularly NMR if they roll turkey/italy/austria or the minute things start to go downhill for them (no reliability system like here) cheating is rife in public games though i suppose it's the same everywhere i run a Classic series, we're up to game 13 at the moment. i've pooled the emails of around 25 good, reliable players with good personalities. when i open a new game i send a blind mass email and whoever gets in gets in. each game has a unique blent of personalities and tactics. i also advertise every game in the dip subreddit to add new blood and throw in an extra wild card. |
27 Mar 18 UTC | Autumn, 1904: Well I think I just got used to this interface here :D The devs are active too, the interactive map and stuff are new...and players abandon way less games, and even if they do in the first round, the game usually gets extended automatically until a new player is found...uou should try it out really :) |
27 Mar 18 UTC | Autumn, 1904: i'll send you an invite link to the next game in the series and you'll never look back |
28 Mar 18 UTC | Spring, 1905: I'd try it out! Anyway, I like playing against you, good game! |
30 Mar 18 UTC | will you please pause adjudcation/ i cannot get my orders in |
30 Mar 18 UTC | Sorry, that arrived too late, what's the problem? |
30 Mar 18 UTC | it's a 4 day weekend in sydney, so the last day of work was hectic as then I had a bunch of social engagements. you have won this game even before my NMR - how about a rematch? no more Duo pls! |
30 Mar 18 UTC | unrelated, will you explain to me why I can use the interactive map in some games but not others? |
30 Mar 18 UTC | You can just vote concede, then the game is over :) As for the interactive map, I am not one of the tech cracks here, but in a nutshell: tobi1 created it in his free time just one or two years ago, to help improve the site. Apparently you have to kind of create it manually for every single variant though, and since almost all variants here were created before that, they still haven't been updated, So to say. Since everyone is just working here in their free time, it still might take some time until the IAM is up for all variants :) |

30 Mar 18 UTC | Oh and for the new variants it's up to the creators as well to implement it, if they don't, it takes time until it happens :D |
30 Mar 18 UTC | GameMaster: Green voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat. |
