28 Jun 18 UTC Congrats Russia! GG! That wasnt my game...
28 Jun 18 UTC Gz
28 Jun 18 UTC Slypups why are u attacking France so late? I was because of that desperate. Since the beginning France was strong and in my point of view you did nothing against it. I thought we can fight together vs France...

And that Russia was so strong, i realized late. I thought for a long time France would probably win.
28 Jun 18 UTC Nice win Russia. France did look very strong early on.
28 Jun 18 UTC GG everyone, definitely was a fun game.
28 Jun 18 UTC Germany - I was getting hammered by Russia and getting little help there to retake Norway, which severely limited what I could do. When I did move on France, he quickly retaliated, and then Russia pounced on the opening. We needed to coordinate to make a comeback here against, but that was difficult since you never harassed Russia, so I was always limited to three units, or with a fourth unstable territory - insufficient to attack France and defend myself.
If you wanted me to help with France sooner, you probably should not have been assaulting the North Sea and attacking me for so long, probably should have done something to reverse helping Russia claim all of Scandinavia (which is a highly questionable move in the first place). Kind of made your own bed there, as you put me in an impossible position to help you.
28 Jun 18 UTC The game was decided in 1905. The chance was missed to put pressure on France/Russia that turn. It snowballed from there. Anyway, GG!
29 Jun 18 UTC All right Britain. I can understand u. I was attacking u 2 long and after that u were too weak. GG
29 Jun 18 UTC I'm curious to hear - has anyone ever played Germany and had success helping Russia into Sweden in year 1? That's always been a bad move in every game I've seen it happen...especially in gunboat
29 Jun 18 UTC I've had success when taking Denmark in autumn 1901.
29 Jun 18 UTC Austria - so it works for you if you focus more towards France in year 1, and save Denmark for year 2?
29 Jun 18 UTC I usually try to take Denmark Holland and Belgium in 1901. But hey it didn't work every time! I have only won once add Germany in fog of war. I just know when I am Russia it annoys me a lot when I get bounced in Sweden and I usually try to find a way to attack Germany at the earliest opportunity.
29 Jun 18 UTC Yeah - I find when Germany doesn't let Russia into Sweden in year 1, Russia gets annoyed but is limited in his units. But when Germany does let Russia into Sweden in year 1, Russia is happy with Germany, and parlays that advantage into getting Norway as long as Germany continue to play nice - if Germany turns on Russia to take Sweden or help England do so, than Russia is just annoyed again. And if Germany stays nice, Russia just turns on Germany down the road once his position in Scandinavia is solid and he's worked over Austria. I'd rather have a weaker annoyed Russia than a stronger annoyed Russia later or worse, one that shows up much later with strength.
29 Jun 18 UTC I've been doing poorly in gunboat games of late, mostly by what I consider questionable play from my neighbors which ends up killing both of us. I think I need to stick to press games for a while where I can at least sway my neighbors by pointing out the problems with their actions because it's frustrating when you see the destruction coming from the solo threat in a WTA game and your silly neighbor keeps attacking you and ignoring the solo threat as if it were a PPSC game - I'm sick of that, not being able to scream "you moron" at my neighbor for that.
29 Jun 18 UTC Let the silly neighbour explain his reasons shortly:
I let Russia to Sweden because i want a strong Russia vs Turkey. Ordinarry Turkey is very strong and got the best chances to win if a good player plays it. So i want a strong Russia against Turkey and against England aswell of course. In the end Russia is getting a bit too strong :-)
29 Jun 18 UTC @Germany - I was referring more generally to other games. I understand your actions in this game, which were pretty reasonable, even if I disagreed with them. I only frowned more on how you helped Russia so much, and then somehow expected me to help you against France - that seems implausible. I disagree with strong Russia vs Turkey - Russia should be strong enough on his own as long as you don't press on St Pete or Warsaw - that's enough to let him stalemate Turkey.
