Despite the result, I think Austria played a very good game - he was just constantly besieged and I think Austria is in a brutal position in this variant We wisely did not clash while Russia was a threat, but maybe he should have started harassing me sooner as I grew - if only Russia had given him some breathing room.
I feel like Russia has a definite advantage in this variant, but he made the mistake of not defending (or reclaiming) his home centers, which is critical since you need those for builds. Because of this, Russia spent many years with builds sitting unused.
I don't know what the heck England was up to. Russia was a serious threat for a while and instead of working with me against Russia, England went rogue and just attacked people randomly. It didn't work out well for him in the end.
Good game from Italy too, who was fighting his way back into it, although I was giving him a little less attention in the end in order to secure the win elsewhere.

This is a pretty epic variant and that was a pretty epic game.
I did see Germany coming a little far off but Russia simply did not allow me to fight him at all. Granted I didn't try very hard to be friends myself.
