06 Dec 18 UTC Bidding: Good luck! My DMs are open
06 Dec 18 UTC Bidding: Good luck to you all too.
20 Dec 18 UTC Autumn, 1547 BC.: GameMaster: Macedonia voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
20 Dec 18 UTC Autumn, 1547 BC.: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Sparta replacing "sweabia". Reconsider your alliances.
26 Dec 18 UTC Ready for that 3 way draw...
27 Dec 18 UTC Excellent. Great game all, although I must say the bidding made things very unbalanced. I'm curious what Athens and Byzantium bid to result in their situations being very dire. After that, it was easy for Rhodes and I to sweep the board together. And I'm thankful to Rhodes for being willing to draw when they were 2 centers from a solo
27 Dec 18 UTC It would have been a struggle I think, not sure it would be worth it
27 Dec 18 UTC Perhaps, but with Macedonia not moving, you would have had easy access to Corcyra and Apollonia, especially with my fleets unable to access those areas.
27 Dec 18 UTC Would have taken a couple of years, and I think you would have taken some of my Fringe territories in that time
27 Dec 18 UTC Yep, I would have had to. Thank you again for a good game and a great alliance.
27 Dec 18 UTC I actually almost bid on Corcyra at the start of the game thinking no one would be out there. I was correct but didn't have the guts to forgo a logical home center for it. Who knows, I may have been able to solo had I done it.
27 Dec 18 UTC Y'all actually get team credit for my cruddy start. I canceled out bids on Chailes (Byzantinum) Ithaca (Sparta) and Concyra (Macedonia).
27 Dec 18 UTC Wow. Maybe some more diplomacy during the bidding phase could have helped, Athens?
27 Dec 18 UTC Indeed.
