23 Feb 19 UTC	Well played, I knew offensive was better then defense so once I moved against france I had to keep it up, I had thought england would want to remove germany so we could end it but fair enough being fearful of a solo attempt... well played everyone, good job on holding on germany and sorry for the stab france but I had to give it a try. this is an interesting variant... I do wonder how different it would be if retreats could only move one space instead of two...
23 Feb 19 UTC	When I somehow totally failed in making early friends AND found myself in the middle of the map I thought I had to find some centers near the edge to kling on to. I'm sorry Russia but you became my escape pod. I'm thankful you guys let me draw with you, last turn I feared you had decided to eliminate me and draw.
24 Feb 19 UTC	Well, that is one crazy mother#@%ker of a variant! France and I were ready to call it a three-way draw Turkey, but when you continued to push west and north after that, you came close to both smashing our line and getting behind it. From there, all hell could have broken loose and it would have been anybody's game, but also anybody's game to lose! In Classic it would have been easy to stop you from soloing and force the draw, but with the double-space movement -- and double-space retreats as you point out -- we had issues. Most notably, we had terrible position and unit type distribution for the endgame (though that did improve a bit when we abandoned Italy for Austria). Hence, when it came down to eliminating those final German units, we felt that would have swung position and unit type distribution further in your favor, maybe enough to solo, and that the risk then just wasn't worth it. When Germany showed he was fully onboard with stopping you and wouldn't be petty regarding past conflicts, we committed to the four-way draw. Fun fun fun. I was really getting into this variant towards the end, but this could also have gone on quite a while had the four of us kept at it. Next up, two very strategic variants. Check your PM's shortly!

24 Feb 19 UTC	G-Man thanks for coordinating our moves at the end - it made all the difference as Turkey was on the up until then. Well-played all. Not sure I like that variant - too fluid and unpredictable for me!
