22 Apr 19 UTC | [Russia]:Good game all. This one certainly illustrated the difference between an anonymous and a non-anonymous match. I would never have stabbed my long allies in a non-anonymous game, but in this one, that was coming. I suspect Byzantinum saw it coming, and tried to prepare, but there wasn't much he could do. And if he counter-attacked earlier, we would have gotten in a war where Sri could threaten victory, so he likely took his best path forward and had to hope I would show him good will. Khazaria was stuck from the middle game-on between a lot of large powers and was in a poor position. |
23 Apr 19 UTC | [Byzantinum]:Yeah the struggles of being in the middle of the two giants |
23 Apr 19 UTC | [Turan]:Just for my future reference. I’m a little confused by the final map here. It says Russia is two SC short of a win (no doubt coming soon). Srivijaya resigned (unusual but ok). But there were still players that seem alive but are listed as defeated. I wasn’t paying attention after I was eliminated early. But what happened with all that? |
23 Apr 19 UTC | [Byzantinum]:I conceded |
23 Apr 19 UTC | [Turan]:And srivijaya went into CD in the spring or something? |
23 Apr 19 UTC | [Byzantinum]:Yeah so I thought I couldn’t do it without them |
23 Apr 19 UTC | [Spain]:I think I did ok until Byzantium and Russia squashed me... |
23 Apr 19 UTC | [Germany]:Same Spain. Russia seems to have a huge advantage in this variant. |
23 Apr 19 UTC | [Khazaria]:Yeah. I actually know Sri offline and I think he was probably just too busy. |
