23 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: (Pathophrenic): If whoever the seventh isn't interested, I can get another player in. I'll give them another day or so though. |
23 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: Sorry. I am in now. |
23 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: Weird. It gave me Switzerland as my country. Guess I won't be doing much more than yodeling this game... |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: Question: Did everyone enter orders and click "ready"? Just getting used to this anonymous mode. Old mode had little green check marks next to the names. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: And wondering if there's a lag now. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: The top says "all countries have entered orders" |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: Yes. Under the other game, once we all clicked ready the turn progressed. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: Does that mean we have to wait the full 16 hours? |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: I hope not. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: Please look to see if you have a green check mark next to your name. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: If we actually have to wait the entire time, I recommend we just start anew before things get going. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: There's not lag. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: Whoops, there might be. But I had only saved my orders by accident. I'm thinking someone else has done the same |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: Well, I have a check mark. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: If it's green you're ready. Gray means you're holding up the game. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: As long as everyone sets their orders daily and we don't have to extend turns, I don't mind the pace. I like this game, but I definitely have plenty of work and other priorities I should focus on and the slow pace gives me a chance to take a 15-20 minute break and not monopolize my time if the pace were quicker. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: I'm fine with 24-hour turns. I was just unsure if by switching to anonymous or turning off civil disorder, that we made the turns a mandatory 24 hours. Before, if we all clicked ready, the turn would end. But I think it might be the case that someone hasn't clicked ready. It's hard to tell because I can't see the check marks next to names and the game only tells me orders have been entered. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: The rules don't adequately explain some things. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: Anyways, it's more like fantasy football now. |
24 Jan 19 UTC | Spring, 1901: I have not selected Ready yet. My method is to save my planned orders and wait to click ready until I have had a chance to participate in some, um, diplomacy with the other countries.I will probably click Ready soon. |
