24 Feb 19 UTC | Spring, 401: Info: This is a choose your country game. |
14 Mar 19 UTC | I couldn't advance anymore. Good fight! |
14 Mar 19 UTC | 1/2 point to uber, Frozen Dog, and Mr. Finkelmuiyer. |
14 Mar 19 UTC | Put it in the forum. |
14 Mar 19 UTC | Good game everyone! |
14 Mar 19 UTC | Good game! I wonder if I should have withdrawn my draw vote there. I was primarily worried about Mr Pink making a mistake. |
14 Mar 19 UTC | But theoretically I could have tried a big stab at some point and meanwhile try to sneak around German units in the north. Either way, great game from everyone! |
14 Mar 19 UTC | You might have been able to execute a stab. It might not have gone well. But I think you would have been able to keep me from getting to 15. |
14 Mar 19 UTC | Depends on my response to the stab. :) |
14 Mar 19 UTC | Its true. I also felt a loyalty to Mr Fink for responding so well to my overtures. :) Its interesting how Reg/Vin so often turn into a mini fortress in the middle of the map. |
14 Mar 19 UTC | @Fink, true. I was thinking that Frozen Dog would have been able to position himself in such a way that unless you completely turned on him immediately, and even if you did, he probably would have been able to turn things around. @Frozen, The river really adds an interesting dynamic; the tight collection of centers on the south side, of which Reg/Vin is the centerpiece, and the vast expanses of territory on the north side where stalemate is extremely unlikely because of the lack of centers. I love the mobile dynamic that exists on the plains of eastern Europe. Maybe someone could make a variant where there were way more non-SC spaces than SC spaces, just as an experiment. |
14 Mar 19 UTC | Yeah, I was proud of my Suebi maneuver, but it was made moot by your forced disband in Italy. :P |
14 Mar 19 UTC | Yeah, the river and steppes are what makes this variant so fun for me. |
